Resort: Well-known city, in the northern part of the island, in a convenient position. All shops, restaurants etc. in the resort. Access: bus service. For arrivals by plane: airport Las Palmas (LPA) 30 km. Situated in the northeastern point of the island, it is the most popular city on the island. There are 2 areas, the old city with colonial andalucian atmosphere, full of historical building, harbour, an area crowned by the Luz castle and where the main tourist areas are located. The city founded in the 15th century, suffered a tourist explosion in the 60's, encouraged by its climatic conditions and city full of services. Numerous fiestas throughout the year (Carnivals, Corpus..) as well as cultural activities such as the Festival de Music de Invierno and La Muestra International of the cinema Las Palmas.
