Vacation in paradise David M. from Huntington Beach, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 9 days in April, 2013 We had a great time at the condo. It was everything it promised it was. It was a clean, well equipped place to stay. I believe that the owners of the unit A701 put much thought into having the best experience there. They accomplished that fully. The only downfall has nothing to do with the condo but the marketing. Saying you have wireless Internet is not really an accurate statement. You could try to hook on to another unit that had a modem to getting booted off constantly. The other thing was saying there is a beach. When in actuality we were told by residents the beach was not there for over two years. We enjoyed the turtles that were there eating the sea grass because of the lack of beach. I always think that honesty is the best policy. I would market it as a plus with turtles. You also may want to replace the rickety ramp going down to the water. Would definitely stay there again. hololani A701 A guest from Ontario, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in March, 2013 Unit A701 is a good location with an ocean front view from front bedroom and living room. Kitchen is a bit narrow and has a small dishwasher but a stacked washer and dryer in kitchen area. The back bedroom is close to the street so for us we kept the slider closed. Unit Parking spot is great. BeCh is very narrow and best accessed by the property next door. It is a very short walk. Pool area was great with three nice bbqs. Great staff and views A guest from Pacific Grove, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in February, 2013 My parents visited and enjoyed a wonderful time in A701. The unit had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The lanai was a perfect place to watch the whales and many enjoyed the grill down at the pool. We reported a dripping faucet and it was replaced immediately. The complex is within easy walking distance to several restaurants. My only suggestion would be to have binoculars in the unit, otherwise it is was a wonderful place to stay. We live the fact that it sits so extremely close to the water. Sometimes it was as if our Resort sat right in the water. The condo was very equipped with all the things that we needed for our vacation. The room was so spacious and was like a home away from home. The two things that I would complain about. The mattresses. They were very uncomfortable. All three were awful. King bed, queen bed, and the pull out sofa. The other thing to complain about are the elevators. They are slower than slow and very noisy. Other than those two things it was a perfect vacation and we loved every second of it. A701 Great as usual! Hololani outside condition slipping. GEORGE H. from San Diego, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 14 days in April, 2011 Wonderful stay in A701 for 14 nights. Regularly return to Hololani for over a decade. Units still in tip-top shape, but the current resident manager (grounds) has allowed outside maintenance to slide. Trash in elevators until the great weekend man arrives to clean. Pool maintained far later than usual and in a sloppy fashion. Walkways need power washing. Stained carpeting on outside walkways and other common areas. Residents doing the repairs on fencing and eroded seawall area. Just not the same old Hololani. My first visit was in the early 90s and we stay on average a month to 6 weeks each year. This is the first year we left very tempted to look elsewhere on the Lower Road for future Maui. We hope the Hololani HOA can get its act together. I never thought my HOA at home would look so good. Aloha! Maui is beautiful, and the Hololani is the perfect place to spend a Maui vacation. We return here often and always stay at the Hololani. On this trip we stayed in unit A701 which had both an awe inspiring ocean view, and also a similar view of the West Maui mountains from the master bedroom lanai. The grounds are always perfect, the pool sparkling, and the rental manager Marci makes everything run smoothly with her marvelous smile and warm aloha spirit. A701 is spacious, well appointed, and a perfect unit to spend a week or a month enjoying the view of Lanai Island and Molokai Island. The property was really old and the conditions of the parking lot and elevator was not great (leaking water all over elevator carpet, peeling paint, musky odor). Lots of dust and ants in the condo.
