Stayed for 15 days in March, 2013 This is the second time we have stayed in this unit (previously here in Dec 2010) and have already booked it for next winter. We have 2 small children and find that this unit suits us perfectly. The view from the lanai is outstanding. Numerous whales were jumping everyday of our visit and the sea turtles swim right up to the beach. The unit is stocked with everything we need, including a few extras like beach chairs, books and board games. Beds are comfy, the building is quiet, underground parking is convenient and the other guests and staff are friendly. The location is extremely convenient for us; just a short walk to many amenities and a short drive to our favourite beach (Kapalua). We were disappointed that the unit is getting a bit run down (e.g., patio doors need replacing, stuffing is coming out of the chair cushions on the lanai, coffee pot lid is broken, light fixture falling out of bathroom ceiling). We hope that the owners put some work into it before we return. The lack of a beach directly in front of the building does not bother us a bit. One is always apprehensive when booking somewhere new but as soon as we opened the door to the condo, we began to smile. It was even nicer than the pictures -- so clean and bright, comfortable beds, and all you could need in the kitchen. We started and ended each day on the lanai enjoying a million dollar view! Although there is no beach, we were a very short drive from Ka'anapali where there is miles of sand and a lovely boardwalk. From the comfort of our lanai, we watched turtles swimming just off the shore and saw numerous whale spouts, splashes and breaching offshore. We were in A404 and the unit was a 9 out of 10; a couple of very minor details (cracked tile in kitchen, crumbling calking in a bathroom). Property manager was wonderful! Good location north or all the hustle of the touristy areas, but close enough to reach in a reasonable time. Totally recommend. Nice property but trouble with check in A guest from Calgary, XX does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in December, 2012 The condo unit was excellent but when we arrived there was a car parked in our assigned spot and they were also in our reserved unit! Called the rental agent and it turns out they settled into the wrong condo. Agent was going to remove their belongings without them present and have us move into the "used" condo which now needs cleaning. It was then suggested that we take the unit they were supposed to be in so we then moved all our luggage to the other side. We were promised one nights refund for the mix up and never received it. Have emailed agent but no return email. The property was nice but this lack of professionalism leaves a bad taste in our mouths. We would have been satisfied with just an apology but if you offer something, you should follow through. We would have appreciated even just an reply to our emails. There are plenty of other properties in the area with similiar views and amenities. Also there was no direct beach access from this property. Our view was great, there was a wonderful breeze that blew through keeping our suite nice and cool for sleeping. We saw turtles and whales and rainbows from our balcony. It was perfect for December, although we did wonder if the B building would be better in hotter weather as they didn't get as much sun, but coming from winter in Ontario, we were looking forward to the sun, so the A building was exactly what we wanted. Everything was clean and well kept, they even had a closet full of books and games. We were very happy and would return again if we do go back. The office was closed a lot due to Christmas, so we only actually saw them when we checked out, but had no issues, they were very helpful. Marcia (the rental manager) was incredibly helpful before and during our trip, even helping us find a doctor for our 2-year-old daughter who got sick during the trip. Given that our daughter was sick for most of our vacation, we spent a lot of time at the condo, which was comfortable, clean, close to amenities, and had an amazing view from all rooms. The condo was stocked with everything we needed, and even had a few extras that we weren't expecting but very much appreciated (e.g., books, board games, a tour-guide CD for the Road to Hana, pool/beach toys, beach chairs). The condo was quiet and other residents/guests were friendly. The lanai was spectacular and we easily spotted numerous sea turtles on a daily basis and had close-up viewings of the whales near the end of our stay. The kitchen was well-stocked with all needed appliances. Although the beach in front of the condo was not satisfactory for swimming with a 2-year-old, the condo pool was terrific and we only had to walk over to the next condo building for prime beach area. We also found an excellent beach for toddlers just a five minute drive away, next to the Paki Maui. Overall, we found this to be an amazing unit and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were the second of 2 couples renting this condo for the week and were assigned the front bedroom which is an offset of the living room with ZERO privacy. The sliding doors between the living room and bedroom do not work. The people in the units across can see right into the bedroom. With the mirror wall in the living room, the first couple had a view of our bedroom just walking into the kitchen from their suite. Otherwise it is beautifully furnished and a kitchen equipped with anything you could ask for.
