We didn't want to stay in a resort. We could do that in our own country. Would go back there without hesitation! Staying at our condo provides many of the intimate experiences lost at the larger commercialized resorts. Less people, free parking, free internet, a chaise lounge by the pool overlooking the ocean, no daily resort fees, with a short stroll across the park to organic market and shops. Access to Valerie and Liz in the office to assist in some of the 'where to go or dine' questions. Our tropical landscaped gardens are being transformed by one of our Hawaiian owners with traditional island themes. It is a romantic experience and you summed it up well "we could have stayed at a resort in our own country". Travelling from Australia to Maui is a wonderful escape and we look forward to your return. The location was the best part, everything you need in walking distance, with a private beach, turtles and all!The condo was spotless and had everything we needed.Reservation process and check in were a breeze, friendly staff, and a general small residence feeling (no crowds of people or fighting for a spot on the beach or pool here!)The only downside, and it's a small one, is the noise from the road in the morning. Generally the birds and ocean noise drowned it out though :)Would stay here again, thanks! The turtles and the open air market 3 days a week was a great experience. Our accomodation was nice and the people were freindly. I have a complaint it is that the manager could explain how to get their better. Us mainlanders do not always understand how to spell the street names. Felt very fortunate to find the place in the dark, and to go along with that the office is closed and they changed the code to the key to get into 107. She did answer the emergency number and was expecting a call but sure could have called the day before to advise me of the change. It is furnished and decorated in a very stylish yet homey and cosy way and had everything we needed. I wish we could have stayed longer. We saw many turtles just in front of Hale Kai condos on the beach and even got to snorkel with them. The location is convienient as it's close to Lahaina and Ka'anapili Beach which we loved!
