Stayed for 7 days in March, 2013 Mother nature made the property challenging, since a great deal of sand had washed up in the week prior to our stay. The property managers did all they could to alleviate this issue. We loved the location - it was perfect! Again, nature controlled the weather and I'm sure the property is great in the summer. It could certainly have been cleaner; the front door was ajar upon our arrival; there aren't very many towels provided and they are small in size; the furniture and floors were dirty; all in all we had a good stay. You couldn't ask for a better location, right on the beach, walking distance to a few stores and places to eat. We have stayed at other places on the Outer Banks but this home is by far the nicest. This is our 3rd stay at Katmantoo and we will continue to request this home for our vacations. Thank you to the homeowner for allowing us to bring our pets !!! Our dogs LOVE the beach and this is the main reason we choose the Outer Banks for our yearly vacation. The stove top was VERY slow, the door to the deck could be opened by pushing it (dogs would push it open). We didn't use the screened deck, my opinion it should be turned into a pool/game room or another bed room. The AC may need some work, itdoesn't cool properly.
