Worst beds we've ever slept on; very disappointed! A guest from Friendswood, TX does not recommend this property. Stayed for 4 days in March, 2013 This is the worst vacation rental experience we've ever had. The unit we rented was completely unsatisfactory: terribly uncomfortable beds; tiny tv in living room (about the size of a computer monitor); cheap, worn out bed and bath linens; stained carpet and linoleum; cracked caulking and sheetrock around tubs; and signs hanging around the unit warning of fines that would be imposed for the following: setting thermostat below 75 and not resetting it to 80 upon check out, overflowing toilets, locking yourself out, not putting out garbage or running dishwasher or stripping linens off beds upon check-out...what the heck was the $80 cleaning fee for? Code we were given for lock box at check in did not work. Very disappointed from beginning to end! Very few things were not satisfactory. The beds(mattresses) were not comfortable. Billiards and table tennis were listed on the amenities but no fee was mentioned. I went to the clubhouse to inquire about park tickets but the staffer was not very helpful. He hardly interacted with me and merely referred me to a paphlet regarding tickets. It had everything we needed AND wanted: A gym, a pool, washer and dryer, kitchen, and plenty of room. It was also only about a fifteen minute drive to all the parks without the crowed shuttles. The townhouse was very clean, except I didn't trust the kitchen utensils so we had to rewash those. But everything else was great! Wi-fi is pretty much table stakes for even inexpensive motels these days. I didn't think it would be as annoying as it was to not have it. Stayed for 2 days in January, 2011 Where do I start, at arrival my family and I were greeted by a rude and very unhelpful person in the guard gate. After going back twice and contacting the property manager we finally were able to get into our rental unit. I found the accomodations meager at best. Beds were hard and uncomfortable and ammenities were ok at best. I then noticed that there were placks all over the walls telling you of this fee and that fee. I felt as though there was a fee for breathing. As a property owner myself I understand the need to protect your investment but, you don't treat guest as though they work for you. Telling a guest that if they do not remove bed linens and place them by the laundry area they will receive a fine of $80 that will be imposed upon their $200 deposit. If I wanted to do someone elses laundry I sure as heck wouldn't go on vacation to do so. I mean give me a break $65 fee for not taking trash out, $60 dollars for adjusting the thermostat and $125 dollars for being locked out of the unit. You have got to be kidding. Then there is the mystery fee of $80 for cleaning which you feel forced to do in lieu of the fees you might incur for a mystery cleaning person that never seems to be there. You really made me and my family feel like guests. I would not recommend this place to anyone going on vacation, maybe if your looking for a job I believe their looking for house keeping help because we sure never saw any. Plus, there were signs posted everywhere about what you CAN'T do w/out losing a chunk of your depost - one being lowering the a/c past 75. And, you need to strip beds etc. before you go. If you NEED a larger room due to a bigger family it's ok... Grounds were night & it's not too far from the attractions.
