Resort: Busy winter sports resort, 24 km south from Aviemore. All shops, restaurants etc. in the resort. For arrivals by plane: airport Inverness (INV) 64 km. One of the major tourist centres in the valley of Badenoch. Traditional Victorian buildings and it is the home of the Highland Folk Museum and close to the RSPB bird reserve at Insh Marshes and the Highland Wildlife Park. Art gallery and well-known golf course in a mountain setting. Good position for visiting the lochs, castles and whiskey trail.
