Resort: Small, busy resort, in the south-western part of the island directly by the sea, 22 km west from Killarney, 69 km west from Cork, 117 km south-west from Shannon. All shops, restaurants etc. in the resort. Access: motorway N22 Cork - Killarney. Then road N72. Railway station "Killarney" 22 km. For arrivals by plane: airport Cork (ORK) 70 km, Shannon (SNN) 137 km. Killorglin is a bustling town in the heart of county Kerry. It is located at the gateway to both the Ring of Kerry and the Dingle Peninsula and close to the cosmopolitan towns of Killarney, Kenmare and Dingle. The town offers a great selection of traditional Irish pubs and some good restaurants and there is a number of activities within the town and its surrounds. Killorglin is the venue for one of Ireland's most unusual street festivals - Puck Fair ( 10 to 12 August every year), hours of free family street entertainment : horse fair, firework display, children's competition, dancing.
