Great place, just in need of updating A guest from Barnegat, NJ recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in July, 2011 This was a great place. The layout was perfect for our needs (three floors, a bedroom with en suite bath on each floor). The only issue we had was the property looked as though nothing (appliances, carpets, kitchen cabinets, bathrooms) had been updated for many years. It was clean and well kept (except some stains on the carpet near the kitchen), but a little attention would take it from being a great place to rest your head to a truly luxurious vacation rental. Easy to get to the base lodges even though they were further away that I had originally thought. A bit pricy given the units were far from fully occupied. Mixed Feelings Vanessa H. from New York, New York does not recommend this property. Stayed for 2 days in December, 2010 When I arrived at this property I was very happy with was beautiful and clean and in a very good location. I was already thinking of planning another trip to get this property again. However, the next day we had no hot water. When I called about it someone came right away to fix it...except that it wasn't fixed and after 5 pm I could not get a hold of anyone. My guests were annoyed so we got in the car and went down to the Spa to have a least we could do that. The next day nobody called me even though I left a pretty clear message that our water was still not hot at all. The woman in the office acted like it was our fault the water wasn't working..she simply could not accept responsibility for it, apologize and be helpful at all. She even said the number on the fridge for after hour emergencies (which I called, nobody answered left a message) was not even the right number. I completely understand these things happen but it's really the manager's responsibility to come up with a solution or at least apologize for our inconvenience. Again in the AM we had to drive in a snow storm to go take a shower. In the end they gave us a hard time about checking out later than 11 am which was completely ridiculous. Two other men came in the morning and said that it was obvious the boiler wasn't even working and the guy from the day before didn't even check this. I wish I could say I would come back, but the way managment handled this siutation does not provide much incentive for me.
