Resort: Famous summer holiday resort, in the south-western part of the island directly by the sea, 90 km west from Limerick, 119 km south-west from Galway. All shops, restaurants etc. in the resort. Indoor pool. Access: motorway N18 Limerick - Galway. Then N68. Cliffs of Moher 47 km. Aran Islands Ferry 40 km. For arrivals by plane: airport Shannon (SNN) 77 km, Knock (NOC) 124 km. The town is popular due to its fine sandy beach, superb cliff top views and many other attractions. There are a number of good restaurants and bars, offering night-time musical entertainment. For those who love sport, there are several golf courses and Waterworld (indoor swimming pool and other water features). Kilkee is also a very good diving centre.
