VRBO Bear stayed here - 08/21/2009 This bear never gets tired of the Colorado Mountains! I was overwhelmed at the all the extra special touches this Keystone house offers its guests. The owners of this magnificent house have made every effort to make you feel like you are at home.
There were 4 master bedrooms with the most comfortable king sized beds. Each master bedroom had a private bath- a truly nice feature when adults are traveling together. The owners took extra care in choosing beautiful tile and fixtures for all of the bathrooms. There were additional rooms upstairs for the kids and bunks in the basement, also. With so many beds it was easy for everyone to have their own space and privacy.
The kitchen was packed with top-of-the-line amenities such as a huge stainless steel gas stove and refrigerator. There were two dishwashers, which turned out to be a big help with all the cooking we did! Plus, granite counter tops made after-dinner clean up easy.
This house backed up to a mountainside and when we sat on the porch or relaxed in the hot tub at night, we felt like we were the only ones around. Stargazing was our favorite pastime at night and there were plenty of shooting stars and constellations to see in Keystone. At 9,000 feet, the sky was so much bigger and brighter.
During our stay, we made time to shop at the Silverthorne Outlet Mall and found some amazing deals. The Oulet Mall was only a 7 minute drive from the home.
We thoroughly enjoyed our summer stay in Keystone and plan to go back for some skiing in the winter. The home?s mud room provided plenty of space to hold ski and snowboard gear and the location can?t be beat. It?s only a short drive to 3 major ski areas! The VRBO Bear

Family Wedding Weekend Janet J. from Littleton, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in April, 2013 The house was the perfect set up for our family of 16 that ranged in age from 92 to 10. We were attending our niece's wedding ( the parents of the bride were part of our group) at Abasin. So e of the festivities took place at the Keystone village so the location was perfect. The multiple bedrooms with baths and the different levels with the game/ rec room downstairs for the younger folks was great. Everyone was very comfortable. The kitchen was lovely to work in , two dishwashers, plenty of dish ware for a large group . A simple instruction manual for the Wolfe range might be useful since some of the printing on the knobs has worn off...but we were able to figure it out. We really enjoyed the outdoor deck and hot tub. The backyard setting is beautiful and peaceful and I loved the picturesque tipi. The bedrooms and baths are beautifully decorated . The beds were comfortable. The only things lacking were reading lamps throughout the house. It would be nice to add some lamps in the sitting area and in some of the bedrooms that didn't have them . Overall, it was a great place for our family and I would highly recommend it. |

Just what I hoped... Laura K. from Lakewood, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in March, 2013 This home was a fantastic place for 16 of us to gather for my husband's 40th birthday. We fully utilized the kitchen, hot tub, pool table, upstairs & downstairs bars, large dining table, and the beautiful gas fireplace. The pictures are accurate and we would definitely rent this home again! |

Soda Ridge 1608 Oscar L. from Laredo, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in March, 2013 We enjoyed our stay at Soda Ridge 1608! The house was spacious and clean. There were plenty of towels and blankets. The play room was nice and everyone enjoyed the stay. A few issues....there was an issue with a stopped up drain and insufficient hot water but then again we were a group of 28. The maintenance crew responded within a reasonable time-Thanks. The outdoor grill was nice but needed cleaning and the kitchen cooking utnesils need to be updated. The stove worked fine but had an annoying "clicking" sound. The owner has a lot of tools and materials in the garage and it messy. We were a large group and felt very comfortable in this house. It was relatively close to the ski area and pretty easy to get to. Keystone is a great area and I would recommend this house and Summitt County Mountain Retreats. Property Manager Response: Response from Summit County Mountain Retreats Thank you for your honest review and staying wtih Summit County Mountain Retreats. We will pass your observations on to the owner and hopefull make some improvements this Spring! |

Nice, but tired... A guest from Denver, CO does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in February, 2013 The house looked great and accommodated out large group, but when it came down to the details it didn't make up for the price tag. The 6-burner stove didn't work, the hot tub was 60', and the granite counter top was nearly falling off the cabinets. Great for a one time visit but I expected a bit more by the pictures and description. |

Huge House, Plenty of Room for All! A guest from Denver, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in October, 2012 Our family loved your home! Plenty of rooom for 20 of us! We enjoyed chillin downstairs with the pool table, foosball table, and steam room/sauna. The hot tub on the back deck was perfect for watching the snow fall! I loved the gourmet kitchen (I left the oven behind because it was too heavy to bring with me). The kids loved the tee pee out back! The next family reunion will be here and we can't wait! |

Perfect for Our Family Wedding Weekend A guest from Los Altos, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in September, 2012 We had 9 adults and one baby spending the weekend for my daughter's wedding, plus two large gatherings. Everyone kept saying, "Wow! What a great house! Perfect for a party!" It was large and the layout was great. People flowed easily. We did rearrange two pieces of furniture to aid in the flow, but it was minor.Since we only had 9 people spending the nights, we didn't use all the bedrooms, but it was great that most of them had king beds and private bathrooms. It really made for a relaxing time.We had our parties catered, and the caterers found the house easy to work in. We didn't use the oven, so I can't say if it worked or not. The gas stove had a problem with the ignition continuing to click, but we could still use it. I reported it on the provided form; hope it gets repaired. We also didn't use the sauna or hot tub, so don't know if they worked. The grounds around the house had lots of weeds; it would be nice to clean that up. Lots of lights and closets in the house, but it took us a while to find the right closet that had paper towels and which switch went with which light. There also was nothing like Saran Wrap or aluminum foil. Maybe I shouldn't have expected it, but it sure would have helped us out.I would love to come back some time for a family holiday. Once grandchildren come along and get older they can hang out downstairs and all the adults can have their own rooms upstairs. Great house!! Property Manager Response: Response from Summit County Mountain Retreats We are glad you enjoyed your stay. Since this property is in a National Forest and in a drought prone areas, it is customary to leave the grounds as natural as possible. Also, keep in mind that at least 6 months out of the year, the ground is covered with snow. |

Great house but showing showing a bit of wear and tear... A guest from Colorado Springs, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2012 We used the house for a sorority reunion. GREAT location and big house that is perfect for large groups. The house is nice enough and very well stocked, but was not in A-1 shape. Laundry room ceiling in basement had previously been removed, probably because of water leak, and we discovered another leak in there. Hot tub would not heat past 86 degrees, and master bedroom door to patio, had a broken lock. One dishwasher leaked and the other dishwasher would not complete it's cycle. In fairness, we were so busy and having so much fun, I did not let the rental company know until check-out about the problems. I think after many big groups, the house is showing some wear and tear. Beds were comfortable and many extra linens and towels were supplied. We did not find 3 hide-a-beds like advertised! 2 people slept on a L-shaped sectional. All in all, great house for a large group, but not in perfect condition. |

Wedding House A guest from Olean, NY recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in August, 2012 My son was married in Summit County. Twenty out=of=towners stayed in this home and it really was perfect. Lots of room for the catered Rehearsal Dinner, guitarist and fifty guests. The 20 of us had big rooms where we could spend quiet time if wanted. The only thing that disappointed us was the bugs in the Master Bathroom but it was easily forgotten because the house was perfect for my needs. |

Our Son's Wedding Weekend Cindy P. from Parker, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2012 Our weekend here was fabulous. The size was a perfect fit. We would definately go back & are already talking about a winter get away. The location was ideal for us. The house does need some deferred maintenance taken care of that should be done sooner than later to keep the home nice. The house needs a pair of sizzors! The staff was extremely accommodating and answered numerous questions I had prior to our arrival. Kudos to them! |

Family reunion with members coming from 7 states. Stuart W. from Seattle, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2012 After a year in planning, and thirteen years since the last reunion with the addition of new spouses and children spanning four generations, ages ranging from four months to eighty eight years, we spent almost four full days of reconnecting during great meals, hikes to Chiuahua Lake and Ptarmigan Pass, bike rides form Frisco to Vail Pass and back, Brew pubs in Dillon and Frisco, fishing on the Blue River, and sightseeing in Breckenridge. We found the accommodations well suited to our large group, though the sleeping quarters did not work well for privacy for all couples. The kitchen and dining areas allowed space for multiple participants in meal preparation and provided great socializing time. We did have some difficulty with lighting the stove and one burner always had the ignitor clicking. There was also a faucet that insisted on turning itself off. The outside gas grill was quite dirty and I spent some time cleaning the cooking surface before using it, there were no complaints however regarding the quality of the meal. Everyone enjoyed the pool games and foosball and watching the Olympics on the big TV. The hot tub and sauna were used daily despite the somewhat murky hot tub water. Everyone there were very pleased with the success of the event, and the inconvenience of the minor problems did not detract from the overall pleasure of our stay. There was a bit of confusion when we were granted an early check in and then told that was a mistake, however the staff did get the home ready for an early check in anyway and our fee was refunded. All my dealings with Summit County Mountain Resorts were pleasant, informative, and efficient. I would recommend them to anyone wishing to enjoy that beautiful area of Colorado. |

A great house for family. It had everything and more. A guest from North Brunswick, NJ recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2012 We were all excited about the nice house and the kitchen was very well supplied. It had enough yard for us to visit and the children to play in. Other things we did off the property were very close. We especially enjoyed our walks. a trail was just at the back of the property and just down the street from our house. Everyone had a great time. Thanks very much |

Colorado Vacation A guest from Kearney, NE recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2012 We had a good vacation. The size of the home and location worked out great. The home does need some general TLC. The main things are the hot tub, some tv's, ice makers, and lawn maintenance. Property Manager Response: Response from Summit County Mountain Retreats We are sorry there were some issues during your stay. The hot tub has been repaired, TV remotes replaced and ice maker repaired. We are glad you enjoyed your stay. |

Great stay for a huge group Melody W. from Austin, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in July, 2012 We were looking for a family reunion spot for 13 adults and 12 kids, and 1608 Soda Ridge Road fit the bill perfectly. Everyone loved that most of the adults got master suites while most of the kids fit into the basement. Also great: the big living room gathering space, the huge and well-stocked kitchen, plenty of table space for eating inside and out -- and of course the hot tub. Nearby was a fabulous walking/biking path along a gorgeous creek. The downsides were pretty minor: We found dirt in some of the rooms and half the jets on the hot tub were broken (we noticed that another reviewer made the same comment). But overall it made for a great family reunion, with a great place to stay and tons of fun stuff to do in Breckenridge and Silverthorne. We'd definitely stay again. Property Manager Response: Response from Summit County Mountain Retreats The hot tub is near the end of its life span. We apologize. There have been several repairs this season. It is likely the hot tub will be replaced within the next year. |

1608 Soda Ridge Dan L. from Raymond, NE recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in February, 2012 We rent this house almost every year. It is in a great location. This year there was trash left from previous renters that we had to call to get removed. The hot tub jets were broken and only have or less worked. We were told it would not be fixed while we were there. We will check ahead of time next year and decide if we will return to this house. It sleeps 28 and is layed out well to accomidate a large amount of people. |

Amazing House! Our hot tub broke on the first night though... Mike G. from San Diego, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in January, 2012 This house is nothing short of amazing! I would highly recommend it, but my only reservation is that the hot tub broke on our first night there (a Thursday night) and since they needed a special part to fix it, we were without a hot tub for the rest of the trip. I understand things, happen, but... Other than that, the layout, cleanliness and overall look & feel of the house was absolutely fantastic! Property Manager Response: Response from Summit County Mountain Retreats We are very sorry the hot tub broke. Unfortunately, being in the mountains has some drawback and it can take a few days to get parts. We are glad you enjoyed the other aspects of your stay! |
