This condo is a large, corner unit and is one of the largest two bedroom condos in Dakota Lodge with approximately 1050 square feet of space. Both bedrooms feature a king sized bed with luxurious bedding and cozy mattress toppers, cable TV, and a private balcony and bathroom. The second bedroom features a king sized bed, new bedding, and a cable TV as well. After a long day of skiing or biking, you can enjoy the gas fireplace while watching a movie in the living room. You will find a 42 inch flat screen HD TV and DVD player in the living room. Just off of the living room is the second balcony with mountain views in the distance, and ice skating rink in front of the building. The full kitchen has all of the essentials you will need to cook a meal away from home. The dining room table will comfortably seat 5 people with 2 additional seats at the kitchen bar and two at the chess table. In the closets, you will find plenty of extra blankets, sheets for the sleeper sofa, pillows, humidifiers, fans, and iron/ironing board. This unit conveniently located near the elevator.
This condo features mountain views in the distance, as well as the miniature golf course and playground in front of Dakota Lodge. You can sit on the balcony and enjoy watching your children play at the playground or miniature golf course.
This condo is approximately 100 feet from the River Run village which features many excellent businesses including restaurants, shopping, bars, winter and summer sports rentals and great people watching. It is also approximately 150 meters to the new high speed, eight passenger gondola. In your ski boots and carrying your skis, it will take about three minutes to get to the gondola.
Dakota Lodge was completed in the late 90?s and is one of the more exclusive buildings in the resort. This means there is less congestion in the building during busy times and all units are a short walk from the elevator. There is one high speed elevator that services only 67 units. Some other buildings have one elevator for over 100 units. There is an access controlled underground heated garage. Laundry facilities are located on both the second and fourth floor. This building also features the largest heated pool in the resort and the two largest hot tubs in the resort. The pool and hot tubs have views of Dercum Mountain and the ski slopes. There is also a sauna on the first floor. The sister building to Dakota Lodge is next door and guests in Dakota have access to the game room and gathering areas in Buffalo Lodge. The game room features several pool tables and tables to play games such as chess and checkers. The gathering areas are beautifully decorated and have ample seating on couches and living room style chairs for large groups. If you are looking for a little more intimate hot tub experience, Buffalo has two smaller and secluded hot tubs for your enjoyment.

It was well-taken care of and very comfortable. The pool and the hot-tubs were great. Everything was perfect except we were locked out of the condo when we arrived and had to go through a scavenger hunt to locate the key to get into the condo. I neglected to ask about the policy if you arrive at night as to how to get in. I would have liked this procedure to be clear. Other than that, we would definitely recommend this condo. We had 6 adults and were a bit cramped. Two had to use inflatable mattresses which were provided for an extra fee, and one of those kept deflating, even after being replaced. Good location, 2 king sized beds A guest from Englewood, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in February, 2011 We are frequent visitors to Keystone, but this was our first time at Dakota. The big draw for us was the two bedrooms with king sized beds. That worked well for us. This condo is about as far from the gondola as we would go. Checking our skis/boards at the end of the day right next to the gondola for $5/skier/night was well worth it. There's a nice outdoor pool and hot tubs at Dakota but we didn't use them on this trip. Our only issue was the pull-out sofa bed. The mattress had a long rip down one of the sides. I communicated this to the owners in a separate email. All told, we would rent here again.
