A great vacation spot on the island of Hawaii A guest from Powell, OH recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in March, 2013 We couldn't have been any closer to the ocean, hear its waves, feel its breeze, watch whales off the lanai every morning, and yet be so close to one of the best snorkeling spots on the island, groceries, etc. The condo complex is excellent, has all the amenities one needs on vacation away from home. The unit itself was sparkling clean, lots of space and windows all around. The wrap around lanai a plus! We plan to come back and visit. Stayed for 5 days in March, 2013 Wonderful location very near some of the best snorkeling in Hawaii. Also ideal since it's away from the chaos of Kona in a quiet, peaceful location. Unbeatable view from the superb lanai. Great layout and comfortable, inclusive furnishings. My complaints (fairly minor) have to do with a relative paucity of information about the property and grounds for those, like us, staying there for the first time. While the staff was overall helpful, they seemed fairly indifferent. On the occasions when we had to call for information about the place, the staff seemed only vaguely familiar and not terribly concerned that we got the information we needed. That we had vacationed in rental condos in the area in past years made the weakness of staffing and information less of an issue for us than for (I assume) many of the renters who come to the Kona area for the first time. I would also add that the website would be more helpful as well by looking at some of the other condo rental agencies' website that provide more complete information about the rentals. With improvement in their customer relations and information systems, this would be a five-star vacation rental. Overall, I'm glad I had done my research in finding this rental condo several months before our vacation. This is an exceptional location with very good properties and I hope the rental agency takes enough pride in offering these vacation rentals to take their customer relations to the same level of excellence. It had great views, nice finishes, and a wonderful location. However, the property management company needs to be a little more professional. They failed to let us know about showings of the condo to potential buyers. There were two instances where we were not made aware that the unit was going to be shown. The first time it happened, we just left and hung out at the pool. Not a big deal, but still would have been nice to know. The second time we were just about to sit down to breakfast, so we asked them to come back later. They then walked around the back side of the unit, where they could see us tyring to enjoy our breakfast on the lanai. Very awkward. They had my cell phone number, they could have called, but didn't. Our family consisting of 4 adults had a wonderful time. The sounds of the ocean lulled us to sleep and a school of spinner dolphins could be seen from the Lanai. L-shaped lanai provided enormous space -- 2 chaises + table and chairs for 4 and still plenty of additional space.
