Not brand-new, but well-maintained and great location Sara N. from San Francisco, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 12 days in December, 2012 We had a great experience at Kona Surf and Racquet. We rented 2 units for an extended family. Both units were clean and in good condition, although neither had been renovated recently. One unit had extensive beach (snorkels, goggles, etc) and children's items (ex. Stroller) for use. One complaint: the keys to the pool did not work, so we had to rely on other guests to get access (many guests had this issue and some had some tension with the pool manager, who didn't like the door being propped open. Suggestion: change the rusty old doorknob/gate to the pool!Property managers were intermittently responsive. They answered about half my e-mails.Otherwise, no real issues. our Kona vacation A guest from Mission, BC does not recommend this property. Stayed for 14 days in April, 2012 The property and grounds were very nice and well kept we just wish that our unit was updated. The kitchen was in bad need of new fixtures and appliances, rusty fridge etc.. The rest of the unit was in pretty good shape and there were lots of extra towels, flippers and that kind of thing.
