The Kailua Bay Resort complex is located right near the heart of downtown Kailua Kona. Visitors can easily explore the many museums or play a few rounds at one of the two championship golf courses nearby. Kona offers a busy and friendly nightlife, and visitors will find many nightclubs within easy walking distance. Volcanoes National Park is only about two hours away and is very popular among visitors to the area. Fully furnished kitchen equipped with everything you'll need if you chose to BBQ near the pool which is directly below this condo. Both the bedrooms as well as the living room have wall mount A/C units for your comfort when our great trade winds aren't blowing gently across the island. There is a queen bed in the upstairs bedroom and a futon in the second bedroom. We supply secured Wi-Fi access if you do need spend a little time on your computer while you're on vacation.Our condo has a very comfortable lanai with a partial ocean view, a beautiful setting for your evening dinner or cocktails with guests. The location was very convenient to all the shops and restaurants downtown. The only drawback was the stairs. The view was very nice of the mountain and the ocean. March in Kona A guest from Victoria, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in February, 2013 Had a four night stay in condo, easy walk to waterfront and retail area (Ali'i Drive). Some noise from trucks coming and going early in morning from next-door commercial business and only one beach towel in unit. Clean and convenient. Our stay in Kona Reviewed by: A guest recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in March, 2012 Overall, it was pretty good. Only issues we had were not receiving the e-mail from the property management company with the pass codes to actually get in to the condo. That was taken care of pretty quickly. I called them and they were really helpful in fixing this for us.Parking on the other hand was a pain. The condo we stayed in has an assigned parking stall, but there was a white van parked there for the entire 8 days we stayed. 3 calls were made to the management office but there was no return call. (The calls were made on the weekend, so they may have been closed).I was able to use the gest parking, when it was available, but was told by a few of the residents that I couldn't park in them overnight.Other than that, we had a wonderful time staying here and will DEFINATELY like to stay again.
