Casa de Emdeko, affectionately known as the 'Crown Jewel of the Kona Coast' is an oceanfront complex located on Alii Drive-One and a half miles south of the village of Kona and about ten miles south of the Kona International Airport (KOA). Casa unit # 133 is a one bedroom, ground floor, non-smoking, unit that sleeps two. It has central A/C and ceiling fans in each room. This condo is five units back from the ocean. With the living room opening onto the lanai and the beautiful tropical garden. You are just steps from the 2 swimming pools, cabana with gas grills, tables and chairs, and the ocean's edge. There are no stairs to climb and no waiting for the elevator. Palm trees, beautiful green lawns, tropical plants, and flowers abound throughout the complex. This is a non-smoking unit with a 2 person maximum. 3 night minimum, stay 10 during Christmas & Ironman season. W

Had a little mildew smell but not as bad as some of the others. Once they figured out the A/C, it seemed to help. The cleaning folks left a couple of rags on the floor and had to come back with towels they apparently forgot. Maybe they weren't quite ready for them. We highly recommend the first floor as this give the best access from the car and also to the patio and swimming pool area. The whole condo is right on the ocean so do not be concerned about an ocean view - it is right out side your door from any of the units. The unit was very clean and had all of the amenities - TV, wireless internet. We did not prepare any meals, but you easily could if you wanted to. Great location to go any where on the island which is what we did almost every day. Very close to downtown Kona - could walk if you wanted to. Overall a great time for us.
