Sea Village is an inviting Oceanfront complex located about a mile south of downtown Kona along Alii Drive. Our one bedroom-one bath condo is just a short distance from Magic Sands Beach a local body surfing favorite and Kahalu?u Beach Park known for sea turtle viewing and snorkeling. There's a new flat screen TV in our living room as well as a Blu-Ray DVD, and Wi-Fi internet access for times when you need to connect to the outer world. The newly renovated Pool and Jacuzzi sit behind a sea wall just feet from the Ocean. If you enjoy tennis, the tennis court is newly refurbished and ready to go. Located on the Sea Village grounds you will find Green Flash Coffee where you can enjoy your morning cup of Kona Coffee, get a panini sandwich at lunch time or enjoy an ice cream cone. This is the exact view(no corners), the gals at kona vacations were great in getting our fridge stuff in a bit early. Beautiful grounds and lots of tables to join others for appies or BBQ at dinner. Stayed for 14 days in January, 2013 I don't usually comment on negative experiences but this is the second request so here goes. The unit has some issues, toaster (only one side pops up), the microwave (door doesn't open as it should and keypad not working), mattress cover leaves something to be desired (stained) rust stains in sink which we removed. bathtub stained. Other than that the property grounds are well maintained and beautiful view. Basically the unit needs upgrading. There was a tsunami evacuation that happened while we were there; We heard about it and moved to higher ground for a couple of hours. When we returned, Kona coast Vacations had called us to make sure we knew, both on the condo phone and our home phone. They allowed us to check in early, as well, the day we arrived.We have stayed and visited every island in Hawaii, and this was our best lodging experience. The ocean front view is amazing, the complex is extremely attractive and well maintained with a nice pool and BBQ area. The suite itself was very clean and well equipped, except for the fact there were no beach or pool towels, or beach chairs or boogie boards. The bed was very comfortable, and, although there was no A/C, with the evening breeze and efficient fans it was very comfortable. We wanted to particularly compliment Sherry at Kona Coast Vacations, who went far beyond her job to ensure we had this accommodation after we unexpectedly had to extend our stay in Kona for an additional week - thank you. I think they call if functional obsolescence. When we arrived we had some difficulty keeping the sheets on the bed while we were sleeping. thebed had no mattress pad and the sheets were shallow style for an old mattress. we called the management company and they immediatley made the bed up properly which is to their credit although i don't think it shoud have happened in the first place.
