Upgraded one bedroom oasis looking right over the ocean. You will love the unit, you will love the location, walking distance to everywhere in town.
Stroll down Alii Drive and you will find a variety of shops and restaurants. Nearby restaurants include Splashers Grill, The Fish Hopper, Huggo's, Don the Beachcomber, Kona Inn Restaurant, Kona Canoe Club, Outback Steakhouse, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co, Island Lava Java, and Bongo Bens Island Cafe and the list can go on.
But the town of Kailua also "hides" some very important Hawaii Island historic spots. both the Hulihee Palace are located on Alii Drive. King Kamehameha I spent his last years living near the current site of the King Kamehameha's Kona Beach Hotel. The Ahuena Heiau, located on the grounds of the hotel, is a reconstructed temple rebuilt by Kamehameha himself and is on the register of National Historic Landmarks.
The Kailua Bay pier is a short 10-minute walk, from which most of the boat excursions on the Big Island's west coast depart (snorkel, whale watch, dinner cruise). The pier is the starting and finishing point of the Ironman World Championship(October) and a great place to watch the sunset.

Kona's Best View Donald N. from Seattle, WA. recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2012 It was great. We love Kona Alii view and location and unit 304 met all our needs. Prince Properties is a very professional management agency we have used several times. The only hitch was the starter package of coffee was unground beans and we couldn't find the grinder. We survived that one. |

Tacky Decor A guest from Redmond, Oregon does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in April, 2012 We love the location of the Kona Ali but this particular unit looked like it was furnished from the thrift store (nothing matched). It also appeared that some attempts at remodeling had been halted with the original tacky sink&tub in the master bath. It was also disconcerting that we only had one complete set of keys in the unit. The missing key was the master that opens all the common doors. We reported this to the management but were unable to get another key before we left. |

Perfect for People Watching! Kim S. from Island City, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in January, 2012 The property needed some maintenance, but inspite of that it was a wonderful place to stay. So convenient to all downtown activities and shops. However, I would suggest at least a starter kit for coffee for that first morning, salt and pepper, and dishwasher soap would be handy. It is very difficult to find grocery staples in small amounts at the local grocery stores. We had to leave a lot of supplies behind, we only hoped that the next guest was able to use the coffee filters, dish soap, paper towels, baggies, the extra beach chair and the salt and pepper. We are already planning our next trip! |

Great location, could use a little upgrade A guest from REDMOND, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 9 days in January, 2011 This property was in one of the best locations I've ever stayed in - although the waves during high surf get quite loud! The living area/kitchen were nice, but the back room and bathroom could use some work. Also, some of the kitchen items could be replaced (coffee maker rusted, toaster too small for regular bread, rusty forks). Also, the lack of any real doors could be a privacy issue for people other than families staying here. For the price, this rental was a good value. |

Perfect Location for Ironman - within walking distance to the pier, registation, and expo. Eliminates the hassel of trying to d Michael T. from Corvallis, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in October, 2010 Unfortunately, although the unit we rented is a non-smoking unit, other units are not managed by Prince Properties, Inc. and have no jurisdiction over residents smoking in adjacent units. |

property under construction: We are sorry to report this was not a restful holiday. A guest from Ilderton Ontario, Canada does not recommend this property. Stayed for 23 days in February, 2010 We were not advised this property was being repaired. The noise, smell and dispruption was very distressing. Dirty linen and frayed towels. We had to rent a car to get away from the noise and chemicals. The pool was closed and the lanai unusable part of the time. Scaffolding blocked the view and constuction workers forced us to ask for a lock on the doors. The toilet ran constantly and had to be repaired twice. |

A Great Place to Stay Ron S. from Edmonds, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 12 days in January, 2010 Everything was great except for all the construction noise that started very early and ended around 5 or 6. Once everything is finished it should be a great place to stay and we will probably be back and stay longer. |
