the live in people really HATE us tourists and make sure to know that we are not welcome! We only slept & showered there so we w Lonna W. from Granada Hills, CA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in September, 2009 we were told by the resicents that our cars would be vandalized and that we should check it all the time and that the proerty has all kinds of riff raff visiting that did nasty this to cars & woulod steal anything left in it. What a terrible impression some residents gave, and we don't blame this guest for the negative feedback! Not typical at all, and certainly not a display of the aloha spirit we're famous for! We arrived at night and it was very hard to find the location of the unit. I also asked to stay an extra 2 hours and was charged an extra $50 which I feel was unfair since we did say 8 days. It was Thanksgiving day and we wanted to go out for dinner and then check out. We had a late flight. I really did not think someone was going to come in on Thanksgiving to clean. Very hot, no AC. uncomfortable small furniture and the only place to sleep: climb the ladder to the steamy loft. Kitchen too small to cook.
