The furniture is outdated and the ceiling had peeling paint everywhere. It was not the "luxury condo". That was described. The place was not the cleanest either. The dishwasher did work well for us and the fridgeand washer and dryer worked just fine, there were two blenders, and neither one worked. When we arrived, most of the lightbulbs were out, but they did bring us new ones promptly. I would just have thought that would have been checked before our arrival. The location was great and the balcony was a perfect view. The bathrooms were updated and nice We were not unsatisfied, but it was definitely not as nice as I had thought from the online pictures. Indian Shores A guest from Charlotte, MI recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2012 Beds need to be replaced, at the very least the mattresses, they are very hard and worn out. Blender didnt work, what a bummer as we bought smoothie wines at St Johns Pass and couldnt enjoy them, there was a spare one in the cupboard but that too was broken (looked like a manufacturing defect. Light is burnt out in master bath. Door lock was hard to open from inside, so we only used the deadbolt. We survived Tropical Storm Debby, but the first 4 days were ******. Need to have more games/things to do when weather is bad. We stayed at this unit last year and it has a great view of the beach and had a great time this time not so much! May 2012 stay at Sand Castles 2506 Karen E. from Sevierville, TN does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in May, 2012 Loved the location and the condo was spotless when we arrived. BUT...dishwasher didn't work the whole time we were there, blender didn't work, Air conditioning went out for a day (which they did repair) and washer wouldn't drain and no one ever contacted us after reporting it. It eventually drained on its own after over a day. But we couldn't use it after that. Just alot of "things" weren't in working order. Also our parking place was taken several days by work crews blasting out the front entry way and so they parked the "trash wagon" in our spot. Price was very good but we booked for next year at a higher rate but at a place we know keeps their condos in working order. review of Sand Castle 2506 Susan M. from Oakville, ON does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in May, 2012 Overall the condo was pleasant, but there were some aspects that I found could use some improvement. Specifically: the master bedroom sheets were of very poor quality (pilling) and therefore uncomfortable, the bedspread was dirty (bloodstains on it). The carpets in the bedrooms needed cleaning and it felt unpleasant to walk on them with bare feet. The clock in the MB did not work at all and there were no clocks in the other bedrooms. The dishwasher did not clean the dishes at all and we had to rewash them. It is a corner unit which is great, but the corner window was so dirty we could not see out of it and bought our own window cleaner so we could clean it ourselves. In the pool area the walkways to the beach need to be power washed as they are grimy and sticky. The pool was clean and so were the rest of the common areas. We travelled with 3 other families who stayed in other units in the building which were significantly better maintained. The location was just what we were looking for with a short drive either north or south for additional activities. Biggest disappointment was that the blue lounge chairs in the photos were not included with the rental unit. Additionally, the rugs in the bedrooms have seen better days. It would have been nice to have a binder explaining who things worked (like what to do with our garabage) as well as local restuarantes and activities. Unit needs maintenance and updating A guest from Longwood, FL does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2011 This is a great location and beautiful beach. However, this unit needs a lot of attention. The wraparound balcony is great, but has minimal furniture which is old and the table is rusted. The dishwasher overflowed the first time we used it. Quick initial response from a repairman, but because a part had to be ordered, we were without it the rest of the week. The worst problem was the discomfort of the beds - most were terribly hard and uncomfortable. I slept on the sofa most of the week. In general, the unit needs maintenance - we couldn't read at night in the living room, as the one electrical outlet where a lamp could be plugged in didn't work. I expect all this will be attended to, as the management staff was very helpful and responsive. The reservation and check-out process is very smooth and accommodating. staying at Sand Castle Julie S. from HUNTSVILLE, ALA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in December, 2010 I think some things should be taken care of in the condo the shower curtain especially was molded and gross. The only thing that concerned me was there was a water main broke and we never new exactly how close we were to it and never new about using the water I think it would have been nice to know or had an update to us about the situation.
