For arrivals by plane: airport Tenerife (SUR) 39 km. Icod de los Vinos is surrounded by a very fertile valley, with a view of the Teide with dense pine forests from the top to the heighest parts of Icod. Bananas, fruit and wine (vid) are the most important product. Natural monuments: the Cueva del Viento is the third largest volcanic cave in the world, with more than 18 kms of development and the Play de San Marcos. Monuments and places of interest: Drago de Icod de los Vinos declared national monument in 1917. Plaza de Lorenzo Caceres, the San Marcos church and the monument of general Jose Antonio Paez, the Plaza de la Pila ex San Francisco convent and los Dolores capilla, ex Sant Agustin convent and Leon Huerta square.
