Each one-bedroom unit is fully furnished and equipped with a full kitchen, complete with oven & stove, refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, cookery, utensils, air-conditioning, television, bathroom, lanai or balcony, and is perfect for enjoying a relaxing vacation in the islands.

Enjoy our relaxing courtyard pool which is complemented by an authentic Tiki-God carved statue, tiki-torches and gas BBQ Grill. Wireless Internet access is also available at the pool area. The Hawaiian King is a perfect mix of olden day Hawaii and modern technology. Also, there is a laundry-room which features several coin-operated washers and dryers for your convenience.

There is no on-site parking at the Hawaiian King. Parking is available nearby with daily charges ranging from $ 16 to $25 per day based on space availability. The staff stays up to date with rates and availability of surrounding parking options and will assist you upon arrival.

This property is located right behind the old "International Market Place", which is only 1/2 as large as it used to be and called something else now. The condo I was in was just remodeled. It was very clean with a full kitchen. Bathroom has shower only but looked like it had been retiled recently. The outside of the apartment looks like a 1960's apartment house. Not bad and the pool area was kept very clean. I was there by myself from 7/18/14 to 7/22/14. It worked out well for me. I would recommend it for 1-3 people. It is really a studio but has a screen separating the living room from the bedroom area. There is a twin bed in the living room area next to the loveseat sofa. I would label this an "efficiency" unit. If you rent this, it's because of the location and the price. This is not a fancy hotel setting. But when I think of the money I saved, it was equivalent to a one way airline ticket from Los Angeles to Honolulu. So it was definitely worth it.

The rental process and unit itself was great. My reservationist, was pleasant and prompt. However, I did not receive instructions on the check-in and out process considering the rental office is not on site. When we arrived, I ended up having to call and they sent a gentleman over to provide us with keys. At check-out I called again and was told to just leave the keys on the counter. The unit was clean and the location was near shopping, restaurants, and the beach. The only complaint I would have is that I was not informed that parking would be such an issue. There is no street parking available in front of the building, the free parking on Ala Wai street is always taken, and the parking garages charge $25 a day. With that and additional beach and restaurant parking we spent about $2-300 in parking fees that we were ill prepared for. Had this information been provided to us beforehand, we might have decided differently on a rental car.

This was a fairly big condo and was in a very convenient location in Waikiki. For the condo's size and condition, the rates were fair. I enjoyed my one week stay.

A hidden gem in Waikiki...

This wasn't the first time my wife and 2 young daughters have stayed at the Hawaiian King, and we love the place. The location 3 blocks from the Waikiki Beach cannot be beat at the price and the pool area is lush and secluded. But be warned, this is not a new and modern condo complex with all the mod-cons and it can be a little noisy at night due to its proximity to downtown Waikiki and it shares its ground floor with an entertaining local bar. But that aside, it is a charming 60s Honolulu complex with hip, vintage architecture and design. The units are simple, have a full kitchen and slept a family of 4 quite comfortably. The staff is friendly and the grounds, BBQ area and laundry room are spotless. I would definitely say that this is Waikiki's hidden gem for anyone looking for something a little funky with local charm and personality. We rented for 2 weeks through Hawaiian Paradise Retreats, everything went off without a hitch, they were helpful while reserving the unit and answered all questions quickly. They greeted us at the door with the key and the unit was well supplied with all basic needs. All in all a great stay, and our goto spot in Waikiki!

The condo itself was very nice, but the back patio needs work.The main bed needs to be replaced with a new bed.Great location. Easy to walk everywhere in Wakikee.

The bed was extremely uncomfortable to the point where we started sleeping separately. Found ants everywhere. Neighbors are rude and crotchety. Parking is a nightmare. Laundry services are expensive. Over all I would say that I wish I had researched a bit more before picking this place. A

"You get what you pay for." Two star quality at best. The furniture needed cleaning, the shower faucet fell off in my hand,they overcharged me for the deposit and still haven't refunded the overcharge, and there is ZERO view on the first floor. Buyer--BEWARE!

The unit I stayed in was renovated and fully equipped with everything I needed including kitchenware. I was content with my stay overall however I think there could've been some improvement as far as availability of pillows, towels, and bed sheets/linen. Also, I was promised a King Sized bed and the room only had a Full sized bed and a couch (not pull out). I managed to find some linen in one of the cabinets however they had a bad smell. Also, both televisions in the room did not work. Although, I didn't spend much time in the room it would've been convenient to have working TVs for when I would've liked to. Overall I was content with my stay for the price that I paid.

The location was perfect. Gloria was always there to help out. We accidentally left our key inside and gloria sent someone to get us in within 5 minutes. Exceptional customer service. although the furnituresa bit dated, but if you're on a budget, you can never go wrong the Hawaiian King. 5 mins walk to the beach. We love our entire stay in Hawaiian king. Will recommend it to our friends.

I always stay at the Hawaiian King. Its very comfortable to me. Like staying with family. This time Hawaiian King 311 was unavailable due to plumbing issues when we got there so we were moved to Island Colony 3509. It was very nice. Island Colony is more modern and luxurious than Hawaiian King, but because customer service from Gloria, Mike and Sam is EXCELLANT I will happily stay wherever and whenever they can accommodate me. Mahalo.

I was very pleased when I arrived at the condo. It was very clean and bigger then expected. There was also beach towels, mats, beach chairs, and a boogie board to use. The only issue that I had with the condo is that the bedroom balcony faced an ally and another hotel so it was extremely noisy. The trash pick up sounded like it was going on in our condo and one night there were a group of kids setting off fireworks in the ally. If the noise hadn't been there it would have been the ideal condo.

When we first arrived we were shocked! The place is falling apart. The kitchen is a disaster with a mish mash of everything. There is old food in the cupboards, there was even a roach (marijauna) in the drawer. It's like nothing has been cleaned up from previous renters. The pool area was nice and clean and we enjoyed sitting around the deck. The laundry room was also very clean. But.... the room it self was disgusting!

The unit is basically clean. But because it needs renovation, it gives the unit an "old" feeling. The a/c unit is small in size and not functioning well.
