The Ilikai is located at the Waikiki Beach gateway and overlooks the Ala Wai Yacht Harbor. It is minutes from downtown Honolulu and one block from the Hawaii Convention Center and the Ala Moana Shopping Center. The Ilikai is an internationally-recognized hotel as the famous opening shot of Hawaii Five-O was filmed here. The open-air lobby and relaxing courtyard leads you on a pathway to the beach. The staff at Canoe's Restaurant and Bar greets you as you enter the courtyard as they share the Aloha spirit. A relaxing place to get a quick bite to eat or enjoy a Mai Tai while enjoying the breathtaking views. Sarento's Top of the 'I' offers sky-high dining and elegant Italian cuisine. The new Japanese restaurant, Morimoto's, is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and is known for its' superb cuisine. Enjoy Hawaiian entertainment Friday evenings and the 40-year-old torch lighting ceremony every evening, with a bird's eye view of the fireworks show every Friday night following the hula show. The property also offers a swimming pool, tennis court, coffee shop, and gift shop/general store. All of our Ilikai condos have balconies and full kitchens. Room amenities include wireless Internet, air-conditioning, alarm clocks, coffee maker, iron and ironing board, hairdryers, cable TV, and most rooms also offer beach equipment. Valet or self-parking available for a fee. There is coin-operated laundry facilities located on every floor of the Ilikai.

We did experience a lot of noise, but it did die down at night. We were pleased with the amenities for beach, eating, etc. Felt it was a central location for a variety of eating places, transportation on bus great, can't wait to return. The condo was clean and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed for cooking our meals. Ilikai is a short three minute walk to the beach, close to central Waikiki, and Ala Moana mall. Mainly consists of condos that are well kept clean. Location-wise, it best suits my needs and the laid-back environment is fantastic.Personally, I don't want to recommend because I'd like to keep it all to myself. Stayed for 15 days in October, 2011 The bed which is the important part especially when you know your guest are staying 16 nights. The first night we could not sleep and our backs and neck in pain. We even thought about renting at a different hotel because never have I felt a bed like this at any vacation rental or hotel. This bed had huge dips in it, and the matress was worn out. Maybe the rental agency should do checks on the rooms before renting them. We had other guest show us their room and Wow just like ours should have been. Very nice pillow top with nice comfoters. I do not even know how the owners would ever sleep there. The sheets were yucky too!!!Would I rent from you and if any one asked me, I would tell them to make sure they put a deposit but fully refundble till you inspect the room.
