Was very happy the reservationist made adjustments to my rental price since it was last minute. However, I was totally disappointed that the property management company was renting the unit with a broken bed and they already know about it. There is nothing more important than sleep when finding a place to stay. I think the management would agree that they would be put off by the same if they were the weary traveler. The rest of the unit was fine, really low budget but a place to hang your hat. Also tough to pay the $300 deposit and cleaning fee for a short-term rental (less than 5 days). Made me feel like I was being squeezed. What I can say is please property management, don't rent a unit with a broken bed.

One of the beds was broken, and was supported by leaning against the other bed. There were two pots and one frying pan. The frying pan was so badly scratched that it was unusable. The rest of the furnishing were in acceptable repair.Do not plan on renting a car if you plan on staying in this condo. Parking is extremely difficult to find.

The Hawaiian King #308 definitely needs some work. Curtains and cloth furniture were really dirty. We stayed for 24 nights and had no cleaning supplies. No dish cloth,used face cloth. Microwave was dirty inside. Bleached everything before using! The walls were chipped and marked but nothing that some paint wouldnt fix. Vacuum didnt work, used dust buster. On brighter note pool area andlaundry room were very clean and inviting.

Risky place to stay

Booking the property itself was a smooth procedure. We received very clear instructions about picking up the key. My sister and I booked rooms side by side for our two families. When we arrived, room 507, which I had booked, was not ready for occupancy. The person we met tried to put us in two units on the third floor, but then found out as he opened the door to 303 that it was occupied. Surprising that he did not know this beforehand. We ended up in room 506, (my sister was in 308). Our room was reasonably well equipped, a decent size and had a very comfortable kingsize bed. However, the pull-out bed my son slept on was most uncomfortable. The hard-wood floor looked brand new and was clean. But the rest of the apt was run-down, paint peeling off doors, rusty toaster over (although it worked), no plug in the bathroom sink. One of the dining chairs was broken. We had to use uncomfortable stools for eating. The locks on one of the window doors was broken, a potential security issue. On the other hand, the building has a nice courtyard where wi-fi actually worked. Also the price was relatively low for Honolulu so the unit might be ok for two people, but we cannot recommend it for three.

Our unit a Hawaian King was clean and neat. It was rented for our crew from the mainland. It is of course an economy hotel, but we were very satisfied and would definitely stay there again. The most important factor is that Hawaiian Paradise Rentals was so attentive to our needs, they made us feel if there was a problem they would take care of it

Everything was great except for two things. One, the beds were very uncomfortable and two no hot water in the shower. Over all though it is a great place to stay and we will be back.
