Many shuttles go to HNL airport ($8-$10), to Ala Moana Shopping Center ($2), or to Waikele Premium Outlets ($7-$10). Taxi fare from the airport to Waikiki is ~$45. Street parking is available around the building.
Along the Kalakaua Ave, 1 block apart, meet people from all over the world, listen to all kind of music, and enjoy the performance of tens of street artists: clowns, singers, dancers, magicians, painters, and b-boys. Don't miss evening hula shows at Kuhio Beach Park or Royal Hawaiian Hotel. It's 100% free! A 10-min walk takes you to photogenic points in Kapiolani Park for great sunset. Waikiki is very safe place, almost no crimes even at night.
All kind of activities are available in Waikiki. And a variety of lessons you can take here: hula dance, surfing, scuba diving, ukulele, just name it.
