The kitchenette includes full-size refrigerator, microwave, and single-burner cook-top; the living area has a full-size sofa bed and TV with DVD player. The bedroom has both a queen and twin bed and is separated from the living area by a long hallway and bathroom which has a large walk-in shower and hand-held shower wand (no bathtub). WiFi and local calls are included with your rental. Located in central Waikiki about 2 blocks from the International Market Place and supermarket, this clean, well-managed building has 24-hour security, laundry facilities, a 4th floor sundeck with heated saline pool, lounge chairs, tables and umbrellas, and is also is home to the famous Hy's Steak House. The security guards are very friendly and always open the door for us. This is the perfect location in waikiki. Close to everything and great view of the beach. Love how only people staying in the building have access to the condo floors. The pool is great and spent many mornings there. Would highly recommend this property to everyone. Stayed for 7 days in September, 2012 Apartment well located and good views from our room, only one block from the beach and one block from the main strip. There was a problem with our sliding door not working & it was fixed straight away. Did not like the fact that the photo's of the apartment on the internet give us the impression that is it was much larger than it really was, even that there was no door to the bathroom. It was advertised to sleep 5, but that would only be possible if you were travelling with little children, we were 4 adults and just fit, with 1 of us sleeping on the sofa bed. The kitchen (electricity) in our apartment (No. 1012) was a joke, you are only able to use one appliance at a time (and it was very slow) so trying to cook anything in your apartment was very hard. Unit needs an electrical upgrade. The owner warns clients not to use more than two cooking appliances at a time (and only the c A guest from APO, AE does not recommend this property. Stayed for 12 days in July, 2011 pots could tumble off the burners. The unit also needs blinds, not just thin curtains as it is too bright in the unit even at night. I had to wear an eye patch to sleep because it was so bright. My wife does not like the fact that there is no washer-dryer in the unit as she felt unsafe going to the basement to do laundry. (This did not bother me.)Aside from the problems with unit 1012, I really like Waikiki Park Heights. It has a nice, salt-water pool and is very convenient to the beach and Foodland. These guests have stayed in the building for many years using a hotplate and know that none of the one bedroom condos have laundry. No one has ever had a problem with the laundry that we are aware of. This is a secure building with 24 hour security.
