12 Portside Needs TLC Charlotte W. from Charlotte, NC does not recommend this property. Stayed for 8 days in April, 2010 We have stayed at this property for 3 years and it is definitely not as fresh and nice as it once was. The dryer was not working, the TV reception was awful, the garbage disposer was leaking, the carpet in the master bedroom was very dirty...and hadn't been vacuumed well before our visit. There was a pill right next to the bed and also a sewing needle right next to the night table. The comforters are old, dirty, and faded, and the one in the upstairs master is ripped and has the inside batting coming out. The de-silvering on the upstairs master bathroom mirror is really bad and unattractive. Feel that the amount we paid for the place was too much considering the condition it is now in. Great location and house set-up but needs more care. Reviewed by: Nancy B. recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in April, 2008 Love the location and the views! Was a great set-up with four bedrooms and bathrooms, and the beds were quite comfortable. The only downsides to it were (1) the location right next to the restaurant - luckily the live music ended around 10 PM. (2) the maintenance was shoddy - screen door had rusted off its hinges and screen was ripped, porch/deck furniture was filthy (we had to buy cleaning supplies and clean it the first night.
