Annette D. from Marsh Field, MA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in May, 2010 I have stayed in the Bluff Villas over 5 times. This unit is a big plus with screen porch. However, the unit needs some updating. The porch was very dirty and there is nothing to clean up with. My key message to the owners is to: replace the ironing board - it's trash; keep some cleaning supplies like a bottle of Fantastic or 409; the broom, vac are in disgraceful (broom and mop are broken in half; the floor lamp in bedroom is falling apart/broken; the beach chairs are unusable; and need new wine/bottle opener. The most concerning thing to me was that the bed comforters must not be washed between renters as they won't fit into the washer. The place really needs fresh summer blankets as a sheet is not enough. Although I understand the reasoning, it is so inconvenient to not have sugar, salt and pepper. My last complaint (!) is the sheet sets from the Vacation Company are of the worst quality - they barely fit on the bed - and are just plain uncomfortable. We know that it was one of the cleaning staff since he knows where he left it and he traced a call after he left it to a phone # in Hampton. When his wife called that number the person who answered denied knowing anything about it, but kept changing his story. I know it is hard to find good, honest workers, but this is unacceptable.Thanks for your help with this. Bluff Villas - great location A guest from Mason, Ohio does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in April, 2009 I've been going to Hilton Head for 32 years, and have experienced many different condos and rental agencies. I would not rent this condo again because the master bed was extremely uncomfortable, and the sofa bed was totally unacceptable. My son had to sleep on the couch for 7 nights. The living room remote didn't work, and there were no blankets and not enough pillows. The bathrooms needed renovated. The Vacation Company was fine. The only thing that made me mad was that we had to pay $25 for sheets for the sofa bed, and were not given a blanket or pillow! I had to call to get a blanket not knowing yet that there was no pillow. We plan on coming back to Bluff Villas this summer, and are debating whether to rent from Vacation Company or Resort Quest. When we walked into the unit, we felt instantly at home. The proximity to the beach is ideal, the sunset views through the sea pines from the screened porch were amazing, and the short walk to the Salty Dog and Marina was convenient. And as always, the easy- to- navigate website of The Vacation Company and the great personalities of the ladies who did our booking assured us a quality vacation experience.
