Totally Disappointing Kelly R. from St. Louis, MO does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2012 We were infested with Palmetto Bugs. No - they are not a fact of life in the south as I have family there. You had skipped a month of spraying per the sheet in the kitchen (in the middle of summer) so we had more than one could consider "normal" or acceptable.Also - no pillow cases when we got there. The pillows were so gross I bought new ones (left them so someone else isn't disgusted) as well as pillow cases.The floors were filthy - my daughter's feet were dirty from them in less than an hour of running around inside the condo.The windows were blocked for maintenance almost the whole time, and someone decided to paint with no consideration of the fumes and the effect on our family. Could someone clean off the bug guts all over the walls? I know it is buggy in SC, but I would think that either a re-paint or a simple sponge would remove the blood spots and make the condo more welcoming.We were so disappointed this year. Our friends stay next door and we hoped to enjoy the convienence of this unit. We won't in the future. I think you are doing a disservice to the owners. Great Week, Deborah F. from Springboro, OH recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in December, 2011 weather was fantastic, golf was good. Last year in the same unit we had some mechanical issues but the mamagement company stepped up and took care of them and we had a great time using this unit this year.The location is easy in and out of Shipyard and close to all the places we like to go.
