Accomodations at Unit 521 Susan G. from Oak Park, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in November, 2011 The location and view from the villa is beautiful. It was very clean. However, the kitchen and baths still have the original 1970's cabinetry and fixtures, the MBath tub has been reglazed and is an uneven mess. It was uncomfortable to bathe in it each day.Also, the villa only provided one dish towel, one cloth, and no dish drainer, which was inconvenent for cooking in. For a $10. upgrade the kitchen could have been more user friendly. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much. Great location, plus security! Our unit was tidy but a little dusty. We opened the silverware drawer to find silverware that had been put away dirty (with food stilll cinging to it - gross) Ran it all thru the dishwasher and went out and purchased plastic utensils. We do not prepare a lot of meals there, but it was definitely somewhat of a negative. Other than that, it is a wonderful location. See you next year. The washer and dryer were in the kitchen area with no doors and were extremely loud...especially the dryer. I wouldn't stay in this unit again. Love Ocean One but not Unit 521 A guest from Normal, IL does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in May, 2011 I have stayed at Ocean One more times than I can count. Hilton Head is beautiful and Ocean One is the perfect location so you can't go wrong with Hilton Head as a destination and Ocean One as your accomodations. However, unit 521 is very dated. The kitchen and baths are outdated and the whole unit needs to be painted. It lacks charm/character and has a very odd layout. The views from the balcony on the top floor are breathtaking, though. We had a wonderful vacation and we always love Ocean One...just some feedback for the one of unit 521 to make it a better experience for guests. Our week in Hilton Head A guest from Pittsburgh, PA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in April, 2011 Overall, the vacation is lovely. However, both bath tubs are on the verge of failure. The one in the front bedroom (facing the ocean) has a hump in the middle that makes taking a shower very precarious. The back tub feels as though the floor underneath has rotten out and nothing is holding it up. The unit was not totally clean when we arrived - the bathroom floor and vanity had strands of hair on them and the garbage can in the bedroom had not been emptied. The internet connection was spotty at best, but not a show stopper. We love the condo project, it is maintained very well and the grounds and pool are beautiful. Just wish the Holiday Inn next door didn't play music EVERY day... But we'd come back in a heartbeat!!! Weather was wonderful, location is great.
