The matress still has a plastic paper cover on it. Hot and uncomfortable. Washer and dryer were disconnected because it supposedly leaked and Dryer supposedly had previously smoked. We rented this unit because it was one of a few condos with washer and dryer. The one closet door was off track and took until Monday to get it fixed. Lights in kitchen didn't work. I called to get it fixed and the maint guy said they needed an electrician. All it was was a tripped breaker. Beautiful view but just too many things were wrong. We won't be returning. Sorry. But unknown to us we had an airconditioning problem that was causing a problem in the rental below us. When the "Property Manager" knocked on the door, we were sitting outside with the door shut. My husband got up to let him in, but left the door open. When he came in he said in a not so friendly way, "well I can see what the problem is already, you left the door open!" He was very rude and made it seem as if it was our fault for having the door open for that short of a time. We do not make a habit of sitting with the door open! He (Steve) was just not nice! Very unprofessional accusing us of making the air conditioner not work properly. Something was wrong with the unit, as the inside fan never turned off, and it would get rather hot at times.This is the first time in all the years that we have been staying in this unit that we were disappointed. Although, upon arriving all of the trash cans had not been emptied, and we had to unload the dishwasher. Our stay was absolutely beautiful everything we needed was provided and the condo was very clean, comfortable and inviting. Couldn't top the view and nice to sit on the balcony and look over the beach. Wonderful property, price excellent (o/s) we would be back in heart-beat. Not a lot of storage space but in room washer/dryer so pack accordingly. Wouldn't suggest more than two people to the room for any length of time. We love the layout with the walls around the bedroom and bunk beds removed. Shower stall was much better than a tub and the mirrors made it feel bigger. Desite this there were a few items that need repair -tv remote in the living room would not advance channels, hot water faucet in the sink bathroom needs tightening, kitchen faucet needs tightening, door to clothes closet was difficult to close due to screws in the floor and ceiling fan noisy in bedroom and vibrates on high. The managers at Vacation Time Hilton Head were able to get us a very late check in with ease. The room has an excellent view of the ocean. Everything in the room worked well. It was over 100 degrees some days and the AC was still able to keep us cool after a day in the sun. We were surprised to find a washer and dryer in the room which saved us trips down to the laundry room. Not to mention the room was priced great for a week! Memorial Day Week Very Nice George P. from Powell, TN recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in May, 2011 We were given a key to the wrong room when we checked in. One key given to us upon check-in was correct, we were locked out of our room for about an hour when we did not have the correct key. Management was contacted and they were very apologitic and kind. It was 11:00 pm when we finally got back into our room. The room numbers are engraved on the keys, that is a huge safety concern. We were able to walk downstairs and put our key into the room number engraved on our key. The engraved room numbers need to be removed from the keys. As for the condo, the bathroom door did not lock and the plastic covering on the mattress and pillows were a little annoying. We had a large group of very loud and rowdy and mostly drunk college students from Ohio stay at Seaside Villas while we were there. That created a very un-family friendly environment. However, they checked out on Memorial Day. Other than these things, the room was awesome. It was extremely clean and updated. The view was incredible. We will definitely book with you again.
