Annual Winter Escape A guest from Prince William, NB does not recommend this property. Stayed for 28 days in March, 2013 Very nice location; convenient to beach, golf, shopping etc. We love South Forest Beach and have been coming to the area for 13 years. We have stayed in this complex four times; first time in this villa. Beach Villa 18 needs a good top to bottom cleaning-despite the fact that we had to have maid service in and carpet cleaners when we arrived as it was dirty. Kitchen and main living area and family room were quite nice-well appointed/equipped albeit the furniture is getting tired. Beds were comfortable but MBR needs new bed covers (or clean the ones on it) and the bath rooms are old and need to be updated badly-we had to clean black mold off the ceiling and tiles in the bathrooms(ugh!) We had to have maintenance come twice to fix plumbing and the leaky refrigerator. Service was very prompt however. Given our comparative experience with rental condos/villas on the Island (similar price range) this property needs work/upgrading before it should be rented again. We love the location, however, the unit we stayed in was not very clean. The rugs and furniture were very dirty and cabinets and countertops were very sticky. The bathrooms are very dated. Beach Villa 18: A wonderful retreat Stacey P. from Columbia, SC recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2010 I did not see any smoke detectors in the unit. I would like to see that for safety. It was a wonderful stay. We called about the refrigerator leaking water inside the frig. The repair man said it was defrosting, but the water did continue leaking a bit. It should be checked again. The pool was wonderful and was kept clean. I would love to see the boardwalk extended with boards or mats to help handicapped people make it to the shore. It was a beautiful resort and very quiet. We enjoyed our time there very much.
