Seaside is an oceanfront property that is situated about 70 yards from the ocean. However, this summer's rental was very dirty, had several dead lightbulbs, the sliding glass door and screen was broken, and there were a few bugs. The room was clean, close to the beach and coligny plaza (like 4 minute bike ride, 15 minute walk). The only issue we had with the place was the lack of a air conditioning unit in the bedroom so it was a little warm in there to keep the rest of the condo cozy. We have been coming to Seaside Villas at Hilton Head for a girls weekend after school is out for the summer for the past 15 or so years! We always enjoy our stay, and love Seaside's close proximity to the beach, Sea Pines Plantation, restaurants, shopping, etc. Looks like some renovations took place since last year, and we were very happy with the clean, new changes. Stayed for 4 days in August, 2010 Sitting on the balcony enjoying the view of the ocean was great, but it was hard to get out and in because the sliding door was very difficult to slide. The management said they all were like that. They did quickly repair a dangerous situation involving a bare electrical wire on one of the bedside lamps. And they were courteous and friendly. I liked having access to the tennis courts and to the Internet via the computer in the rental office.
