You?ll find Seaside Villa is located on the south end of the island, along South Forest Beach Drive, a short distance from Coligny Plaza. Seaside is an oceanfront property that is situated about 70 yards from the ocean. I enjoyed beach walks with dolphins, kayaking, restaurants, turtles, health club classes, tango lessons, biking, shopping, etc. If you haven't ever been to Hilton Head Island and wonder where the best place to stay is, South Forrest Beach, at this condo, was it for me. I truly miss the people and the activities of the Island and would like to spend much more time there, and in this area because of it's proximity to things I enjoyed. Great for the price and the purpose Christine G. from Augusta, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2012 Overall, husband and I had a positive experience. Would recommend to family/friends. Looking for something economical but convenient to beach/area attractions. Can't beat price for direct beach access. Also within walking distance to Coligny Plaza. Other activities in very short driving distance. Interior space/decor not a high priority - comfortable for 2, no more. Decor/furnishings/appliances in good shape. Kitchen extremely small but well-stocked; able to cook simple meals. Major critique: cleaning staff could?ve been more thorough. Phone (1 of 2) by bed had orange sticky substance on the buttons. Didn't need phone during our stay, but was obvious oversight. Also, pulled back bed linens on first night and noticed small amt of sand in sheets near pillows; Nothing else suggested they were unclean, so didn?t bring to mgmt's attn.; still a little off-putting. Other comments: 1st - 2 bath towels pp (enough for us) but only 1 washcloth pp. For a wk of washing off sunscreen, sand, etc., at least 2 is preferable. Didn?t request add?l linens b/c didn?t want to incur add?l charges. 2nd - unit (#182) opened into corridor with one open end. Anyone outside smoking, smoke drafted into corridor. No cig smoke in unit, but anyone with sensitivity should consider diff unit. 3rd - 2 pools aren?t beach front (on opposite side of property) and fairly small. Not an issue for us, pool wasn't a priority, but layout somewhat odd for beachfront property. 4th, tvs are small; tv in living room mounted in odd location in a corner above couch. Near impossible for 2 to comfortably watch tv on couch. Tv size/location not a priority for us, just something to consider. LASTLY, no internet. Not an issue for us and owner advertised correctly, but could be huge downside for someone expecting access, given it is so common now. May seem critical but overall had a great time - only intend to highlight potential negatives for future renters so they may be fully informed in rental decision. It is always clean and everybody is always so nice. It is convient to coliginy plaza and to harbor town. The pay for 3 nights get 1 free is wonderful with the economy the wayit is. I just love staying at seaside villas. I am a hairdresser and have given the number to quite a few of my clients. #182 Vacation Stay June 2-9, 2012 A guest from Carmel, IN recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2012 The apartment was very, very nice. Comfortable, stylish furnishings, very clean, kitchen supplied very nicely. The location to shops, restaurants and the rest of the island's features was really good. Taking the toll expressway was well worth the $1.25. We could reach the access bridge from the apartment in very little time. We really enjoyed our stay there and would definitely seek out that property again for another trip to HHI. The only problem we had was with the cable reception. It was not working properly and we received only the local basic channels. Other than that it was a great stay. Nice weekend, except . . . David K. from Augusta, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in May, 2012 Memorial Day weekend at Hilton Head is a treasured family tradition, and we have always rented through Adventure Inn/VTHHI. However, for the past 2-3 years we have noticed more and more college students on spring break. This year, especially, the students who stayed at Seaside were obnoxious - they were drinking, carrying on conversations that my elementary age sons did not need to overhear, and generally making nuisances of themselves. The security patrols did help, but it would be better, frankly, if the students were not around at all. I read the article in the 5/26 Island Packet about how North Forest Beach landlords are cracking down on under-25 rentals for this very reason. I would hope that VTHHI will adopt this policy and return your complexes to the family friendly establishments we remember from our early rentals with you.
