Resort: Situated at the foot of the "Siebengebebirge" mountains, the "Bergischem Land" and Westerwald is the cosy city, 9 km south from Siegburg, 20 km east from Bonn. For arrivals by plane: airport K÷ln (CGN) 25 km, Dnsseldorf (DUS) 80 km. Historical evidence can be seen all over Hennef: late Gothic architecture, the Marien pilgrimage church, manor houses, Allner castle and idyllic timber-facade houses. The medieval town of Blankenberg (7 km) is a popular excursion destination. Also worth visiting are the former capital of Bonn and Cologne with its charming town centre and the "Haus der Deutschen Geschichte" (museum of German history).
