Resort: The district of Hechthausen is the most easterly in the county of Cuxhaven, bordered to the north, east and south by the course of the river Oste. It is a cosy holiday resort in the interior 50 km from the sea, 18 km from Stade, 30 km from Otterndorf, 50 km from Cuxhaven. All shops, restaurants etc. in Hemmoor, 8 km. In the resort: grocers, butchers, bakers, bank, restaurant. Indoor pool at 5 km. Access: railway station in the resort. For arrivals by plane: airport Hamburg (HAM) 85 km, Bremen (BRE) 115 km. This place has retained its rural character, emphasized, for example, by the old windmill in the town.
