Resort: Cosy resort, in the northern part of the island, 12 km south from Orzola, 30 km north from Arrecife. All shops, restaurants etc. in the resort. For arrivals by plane: airport Lanzarote (ACE) 24 km. Four of the seven Art, Culture and Tourist centres in Lanzarote are situated in Haria. Cueva de los Verdes: volcanic grotto with wonderful shapes and colours created by lava as it ran towards the sea, the Mirador del Rio: nearby 700 m above sea level, with a panoramic view of the small islands to the north of Lanzarote. Jameos del Agua: an underground oasis of vegetation, with natural and manmade swimming pool and the Jardin de Cactus. The resalting of the Salinas de Gusa is in Haria, at the foot of the Famara and the Parque Eolico de Los Valles. Beaches: Playa de Risco: to reach it you have to go up the Famar, nearly 700 m above sea level, via a 2 km long path to the beach. La Garita: golden sandy beach, protected from the wind and waves, with lots of services. Caleton Blanco: very attractive beach due to its contrasting colours: white from the sands, intense blue of the sea and black of the volcanic lava. Natural areas: natural monument of Malpais de La Corona, protected area of Teneguime, Site of scientific interest of Jameos del Agua.
