Several trekking and mountain bike paths in the middle of the "guarrigue" (local vegatation type). Rock climbing site. A market is held 3 times a week in the old town. Lovely fine sandy beaches. The Cathare country, former home of the Knights Templar, is to the gates of Gruissan (castle, wine trails...). Quiet, family friendly, medieval village directly by the sea, 15 km from Narbonne. In the resort: supermarket, shops, butchers, bakers, boutiques, post office, bank, restaurant, bar, disco, casino, evening entertainment. Indoor pool, wellness centre, fitness centre, sauna, massage. Besides: chemist, doctor. Access: motorway A7, exit number "Narbonne-Est" 13 km from Gruissan. Railway station "Narbonne" 15 km.
