The small bed upstairs is too old & needs to be replaced. The main A.C. didn't work at first, but was fixed & worked nicely after that. The staff were very helpful & nice. We'll come back next time. The lake is warm enough to swim on summer days. Having breakfast by the lake behind the house is a bliss. We'll come back. GREAT but . . . . . A guest from Daly City, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in June, 2013 Enjoyed our stay however the sliding glass doorlock to the deck area needs to be replaced or repaired forthwith. Just before dark, we choseto relax on deck and enjoy the view. When it became dark, we found that we could not enter as aforementioned door had locked itself.Our only solution was to yell, "Help" which a neighbor heard however after many, many, minutes. There was no way we could exit deck so had to have help to re-enter the home. Neighbors were very kind and gracious in calling security for us, remaining in their yard throughout our ordeal. Security arrived,borrowed ladder from said neighbor however he could not open door either. Security advisedthat he would attempt to contact our rental agent and if not successful would call the fire department to gain entry and/or to removeus from deck. The deck is great to sit out on for meals (the weather was good). However if one is confined to inside, the feeling would be a bit depressing, as the kitchen/living area does not have a view or much light. Access to the lake is not so easy - a quite steep dirt bank and featureless back yard. Trees have been cut back, but still obscure the lake somewhat. The location was quiet most of the time (except when the yard cleaning was in progress). The driveway is quite steep, and probably could not be entered with a low-slung vehicle (fortunately we had a high-clearance 4wd). The location was great,but we were surprised there were no garbage bags or condiments (salt & pepper)in the cabin. Also, the AC didn't work too good as the cabin stayed a little too warm. Besides that, this place is great for families. The swimming area is within walking distance. Make sure to bring a kayak or canoe, that you can launch right from your private dock, as this completes the wonderful experience. $100 RIP OFF cleaning fee/Horrible property managment! Heather H. from Discovery Bay, CA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 2 days in August, 2009 We arrived at the cabin August 28th, 2009 and was shocked at how filthy the cabin was. There were numerous cobb webs not only on every ceiling but also on walls and window seals. We dropped something on the floor and when we wiped it up the paper towel was black! EVERY dish we pulled out to use had food on it and some were just put back used and filthy! We had to wash all the dishes before we used them. There was dried crusty food splatters all over the front of the washing machine located in the kitchen, which by the way doesn't even work. There was curly black hair all over the couch and floor. We had to tighten up the lock on the "joke of of a front door". We left the cabin much cleaner than we arrived! When we spoke to the property management she seemed uninterested and did not credit our $100 cleaning deposit. Stayed for 5 days in September, 2008 This house was conveniently located near the main entrance to the lake in a quiet and peaceful cove at the western end. The house was simply funished and the kitchen could have been better equiped. The beds were adequate and there were extra pillows and blankets. Only one shower was working, which was not quiet enough for 8 people and the bathroom rugs needed to be washed. It would have been helpful to have better instructions for using the dvd player and the dishwasher which needed service while we were there. We enjoyed the covered deck with a peek of the lake as it was very hot and we ate most of our meals there. We appreciated the use of a barbeque grill with plenty of gas, but it was very dirty and we had to clean before use. The grandkids enjoyed fishing off of the dock and the swimming was good there too. We would have appreciated the use of a boat since you are not supposed to launch your own and the rentals were not available after labor day.The marina and beach is a lovely place to spend the day on the lawn under the cottonwood trees. We spent a day at Yosemite and another down on the wild and scenic Tuolumne river nearby.
