The Gathering Place: This is truly a great gathering place for family and friends. The entrance is on the upper third level and has an open floor plan with lots of room for entertaining. There is a kitchen and breakfast bar that seats 8 people. Two dining room tables are set up with one table seating 4 people and the other seating 6, a bar that seats 4 and a living room that overlooks a large deck with a woodsy view. The lower 2nd level has all the bedrooms including the master that has a king size bed, a second bedroom has another king, a third bedroom has a bunk bed set that has a lower full and an upper twin. There is also a queen sofa sleeper. The 3rd lower level has a game room, which includes a ping pong table, a pool table, a foos ball table, shuffle board and outside there is a horse shoe pit. The only things I would suggest is to tell people there is no parking. This is a big home very spacious so people dont walk all over each other. The masterbath shower did not have any hot water i think the knob is messed up it needs to be fixed. Garbage cans were full when we showed up on first day. It is big, has a great deck for BBQ'ing, eating, and relaxing, and generally pretty clean. The property itself is old, but I see that a new TV and sofa have recently been put in. The only major complaint I have is that the brown swivel chairs are constantly falling apart. Game room and decks were the highlight. The property was spotless and though the decor was severely outdated, it lent to a pleasant/quaint feel - almost like vacationing in the late 70's/early 80's --don't worry, the TV was quite modern. The only negative comment I have is that the 'property cleaning fee' seemed a bit steep considering we received instructions to leave the property exactly as we found it, trash free and all. We've been coming to Pine Mountain for over 40 years as a family so we have stayed in ALOT of houses. It was farther away from the marina than we'd ever stayed before, but very quiet. This house has a main floor with a kitchen/dining room/family room big enough to seat 20 people. We stuck 35 in there for dinner and family games. Great time. Only complaint is the jennair range. Don't plan on cooking a turkey in the bread box sized oven. Two burners and a grill not conducive to cooking for large groups.Tracy and Tish we FABULOUS! Held a graduation celebration there which at one point reached over 40 guests, house was able to hold all those and possibly more without having a crowded feel. It's very spacious and the game room is a great addition! It also has a fun music collection and a beautiful deck to relax on! We just had a few small issues such as: no soap in the upstairs bathroom, lightbulbs that are the wrong wattage--100 watts in one of the bedrooms (a fire hazard with the small bedside lamp), also it looked like the kitchen floor hadn't been cleaned in a long time. Otherwise, we loved this house and had a great time there with our family. The only other issue was that we didn't receive enough sheets with our linen rental to include the sofa bed.Thank you!
