Welcome to our timber-framed houses (which are protected as architectural monuments) in the old Hanse town Gronau bei Hildesheim, to the South of Hannover.
The vacation apartments and rooms combine the flair of bygone days (from Baroque to Art Nouveau, from urban to rural) with up-to-date equipment.
The vacation apartments and the big garden on the river Leine are great for intimate and romantic stays. There is a kitchen garden, which you are invited to use, at the center of the complex.
We offer a selection of different ambiances in the different apartments and rooms. Depending on taste and required size, you can choose between apartments Kornkammer (Granary; 28 sq.m), Heuboden (Hay Attic; 56 or 44 sq.m), Speicher (Storehouse; 106 sq.m), Kutscherwohnung (coach driver’s apartment; 90 sq.m) or Senatorenwohnung (Senator’s apartment; 74 sq.m).
The garden offers seating and room to play for young and old, whether you want to read a book or just walk around a bit.
The Apartment:
The Kornkammer / granary is the smallest apartment (with 28 sq.m), non-smoking, for 1-2 guests and, if needed, an additional person (child). It is popular among singles, a single parent with child, or two friends.
The apartment entrance is via the kitchen garden, an inner courtyard, and a steep outdoors staircase leading into an entrance area and through the door into the living room area with cooking facility.
Next door is the bedroom with one French bed (1.4 m wide) and a wardrobe, connected to a small room with shower and toilet.
Drinks service is available on request.

When fairs in Hannover are in session, different prices apply, but further service and breakfast buffet are offered.
Pets are not allowed in our apartments, but we’ll gladly give you advice on alternative accommodations close by where they are.
Rent does not include bed linens or towels; but for EUR 10 per person, bed linens, towels and dish rags can be rented. Our bed sheets in historical design are a particular highlight, available for EUR 15 per person.
Some of the apartments can also be booked as 3-bed rooms or family rooms. EUR 10 per night for adults; EUR 6 for children 4-12
On request, it is also possible to get a tasty breakfast or room + breakfast + lunch or dinner in one of our partner restaurants.
Vacation apartments can be rented from 3 days on. For shorter stays, we rent the apartments out as rooms with common bathroom, without kitchen.
For check-out, the rooms are to be handed over, broom-swept, before 12 noon. For a small fee, we will do the final cleaning for you, in which case check-out is to be before 10 a.m.
Special rates for long-term stays are available.
Please note that our main / high season is when the trade shows take place in Hannover mainly during Spring and Fall. Our off-season pricing is available during summer.
