The Greenbank Corner House is situated on a high bluff above the northern opening of Holmes Harbor facing east toward the sunrise, Saratoga passage and Mt Baker. As the sun sets, the lights of the mainland can be seen glittering in the distance. A community trail winds its way down through a wooded ravine to the quiet rocky beach in habited by seals, otters, deer, eagles and other wildlife. Built in 2004 in Northwest Contemporary style, in the house features a full kitchen, deck off the dinning area and cathedral living area with a fireplace just right for family get-togethers or peaceful naps. A private master suite and fully equipped utility area complete the main floor. The second floor includes a family TV area, bedroom and full bath. The house also has a woodsy view from the upper and lower decks. Extra seperate bonus bedroom with bathroom with private entrance avalible for extra cleaning fee. For great outdoor dining and evenings under the stars you'll enjoy the large stone patio with a wood fireplace and all the ambience of a quiet island get-away. 4 night minimum in July/August

Contacting Tara Properties was very difficulte. Each call was a voice mail. None of the issues we had were addressed. Fireplace did not work. We reported this on the first day of stay. In 7 days we were there no one called back to arrange to have it fixed. No one fixed internet issue. Could not use Studio downstairs. Bad mold issue. Health concerns. As far as I am concerned I did not get my moneys worth. No offer to compensate for loss of ammenities. We made a very bad choice. Would not recommend to friends.

Our family stayed for a little over a week and had a wonderful experience. There were only minor things we didn't like: the house was mostly clean, but there were dead bugs in some drawers; a couple of drawers in the master bath needed fixed to work properly; and the information folder was easy to overlook and could use an outside label. Also, if you are not used to a hard mattress, the bed might not be as comfortable to you. Otherwise, though, we loved it. The kids loved finding the air hockey table, there were games and books galore, and a well-equipped kitchen. The trail to the beach is very rustic and a bit of a hike, but absolutely gorgeous. We took it in both sunshine and misty rain and it was only mildly muddy. The back balcony was perfect for watching hummingbirds in the morning. The front patio with fireplace was wonderful for breakfast or for making s'mores with the kids at night. Being centrally located on the island, it made a trip to Langley just as easy as one to Fort Casey or Ebey. We would happily stay again.

This is a wonderful home with a great veiw and a terrific rustic trail to the beach. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay we had so much fun at the fire pit and exploring all the differnt decks.

The home was very clean, lots of cooking accessories,nice setting! Easier access to the beach would have been nice and the mother-in-law unit seemed to have a mold issue. Other than that we had a nice time! Thanks for opening up your home!

Greenbank has no services, but is centrally located along highway 525. (you have to drive a ways to everything) Home is wonderful with great patio, deck, fireplaces, furnishings and well outfitted kitchen. Private sleeping options limited for more than one small family. A nice option when other places on Whidbey are not available and with less than a week rental required.

The address on all the forms listed the office in Freeland. So, we drove to Freeland to pick up the keys. However, the office relocated to Langley. Since we didn't have a map we drove to Langley. Most everything was closed up, so we asked around and finally surmissed that your office was not in Langley proper but back towards Clinton on the main hiway. By this time it was 9pm and dark and very difficult to see street signs. We pulled out the map to the house and followed the directions. Of course the mileage was based from Freeland so we had thought we missed the turn off and had to back track. The house was nice, getting the keys and getting to the house was not. All in all the stay was nice. However, I was extremely unhappy with running all over the island looking for your office and getting an out of date map.
