Resort: Gosau at Dachstein, 14 km from Hallstatt and approx. 30 km south of Bad Ischl, is situated in the midst of the idyllic mountain and lake landscape of Salzkammergut. Railway station Steeg-Gosau 10 km. Salzburg approx. 60 km. Worth seeing are the famous caves, the 3000 year old Hallstatt with its oldest salt mine in the world as well as the emperor's residence in Bad Ischl. A number of entertainment possibilities such as e.g. discos, 'Heurigen-Weinstube', Alm huts, barbecue evenings.

Resort in Summer: About 120 km marked rambling ways and 250 km mountain bike-ways lead to the lovely mountain world around the Dachstein. Bathing and fishing in Lake Gosau (4 km) and to the HallstStter Lake (10 km). There is also a tennis centre with 2 clay courts and a tennis hall, squash, a fitness studio, asphalt curling rink, childrens playground and ball places at your disposal. Guided mountain tours, river-rafting, paragliding, climbing, bowling.

Resort in Winter: Gosau is the main resort of the skiing district Dachstein-West with about 30 lifts and 65 km prepared ski-runs, 40 km cross country ski-trail and cleared walking ways. Guided ski tours, ski and alpine school, childrens ski school, cross country ski-trail, sports article hire, toboggan run, horse-driven sleigh rides, curling, indoor swimming pool with sauna and solarium.
