Stayed for 4 days in July, 2012 Our online gaming guild met here for a week,and it fit all 12 of us perfectly, with room to spare, and was easy to get to. And being gamers, the wi-fi was important. It actually handled a dozen gamers with hi-speed rigs online all at once! Our only complaints would be the phone didn't work, and cells couldn't get a signal. We had to drive out to call with a cell about the cabin phone, lol. Also, the outside trash containers weren't critter proof, and the racoons got a lot of blueberry waffles as a result. And there weren't enough, considering we were cooking 3x a day for a dozen folks for a week. We filled those two cans the first two days. Phones and trash pick up would've made it perfection. There were a few things that needed attention such as some lights didn't work (fixtures, ceiling fans needed to be replaced and/or were not working or were loose)and light switches could have been marked. There were 2 doors inside that would work better if they opened the opposite way. The stairs leading up to the loft were a little too steep and if possible should be reworked. The pool table pockets had holes in them and needed to be replaced. The children were a little disappointed that the wifi wasn't working but we got that fixed very soon. However, with all that said the cabin was very nice and cozy and we loved the layout. We had all the privacy we wanted and we loved it and most definitely would visit again. There where bloody sheets on two beds that required us to purchase sheets in order to use them. We called the 24hour number and nobody returned the call until we called a second time the following day. Stains on floor and couch smelled. Property Manager Response: Response from American Mountain Rentals Glad your overall experience was good. I do want to apologize for any subpar cleaning that you found. That is not our common practice and I am sorry you found some items that you were not pleased with. I will tell you that each bed has linens changed between every stay and if a sheet had any blood on it I can asure you that it had been washed and just overlooked by housekeeping. Anytime our linens have a stain, our policy is to purge those from our cabins and this must have been an oversight. We are very sorry for any trouble this may have caused. And the house it self was nice. My only complaint was that my grandson located some rat poison under one of the couches. We where very lucky my son observed him pull the box of poison from under the couch and was able to get it from him before he put it in his mouth. My grandson is only 1 year old. I feel that management should have told me about the poison and its location or removed all of it before we checked in. That was my only complaint. Three Bedrooms and a Loft Earl D. from Ocean Springs, MS does not recommend this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2011 Four elderly couples met for a family reunion at this rental house. We were informed it had four bedrooms and a loft. This is entirely incorrect and it caused some real heartburn. There are three nice bedrooms. The so called fourth bedroom is nothing more than a storage room off a downstairs kitchenette with a trundle bed in it. The A/C vent does not work and there is NO window, so its just a big closet, as uncomfortable as can be and unfit for a bedroom except in an emergency. As the host who made the booking, I was obliged to sleep in that closet for the duration, and it was miserable. The family/living room was huge and the big windows were breath taking my bed was comfortable and I heard no complaints from anyone else on there comfort. The only complaints I wpould have would be the trash. 13/15 people throwing trash away was a nightmare I felt bad when I leaft just after a 3 night stay it was stacked everywhere outside.and the downstairs bedrooms stayed to cool. but other than that we had a blast the whole pupose of the trip was to get my whole family together in 1 spot just to enjoy each others company and we accomplished that in this lodge. plenty of room,towels ans bathrooms. oh ya one more thing the red couch? it's probably time for a new one uncomfortable the cushions sink down to far just think it is wore out maybe replace it with a few recliners. 5 men find it hard to sit side by side on a couch or loveseat while they talk sports or drink beer. just a suggestion		Overall Satisfacation show detailed scores Services from rental manager Cleanliness Location Property Condition

A place to stay for lots of people, but A guest from Knoxville, TN does not recommend this property. Stayed for 4 days in October, 2009 we were not impressed with the condition of the cabin. It appears to have been added onto without being inspected. Some things were against code, such as holes larger than outlet plates and huge spaces between railings leading to the loft, as well as the loft stairs being very short rises and very steep. Not sure if the last is actually against code or not. The carpet was very stained, and old looking. I kept a big blanket on the floor for my baby to play on. The mattresses were very squeaky when you sit or turn over. The inside screen door handle kept coming off from the moment we first opened it from the outside. There are wonderful shutters on the floor to ceiling windows to use at night, but nothing on the doors if you want any privacy from people who might be looking in. Also, the fan in the dining room is on high, and it was cold, but there was no way to turn the fan off and leave the light on, so we either dined in very low light or freezing cold. The furniture has been well-used. You sink deep into the couches when you really shouldn't. The kitchen was missing a few essential items that are nice to have stocked for people, such as wine opener, aluminum foil, un-rusty cookie sheets, large mixing bowls for large groups of 11, like we had. The shower floor in the downstairs bathroom seems very weak-the teens were afraid it would fall in if they stood in the middle. Shower faucets seem to be full of minerals because they come out in one big stream instead of a wide one.Overall, the location and privacy were great, but the cabin needs a lot of love and care and repair. We rented this particular cabin because it has 3 bathrooms and we had 12 people. We didn't have the use of one of the showers for our entire stay. It was leaking and maintenance came in immediately to fix it, but the caulk and de-humidifier kept us from using the shower. The kitchen sink/garbage disposal/dishwasher become clogged on our second night and maintenance was unable to fix it before we left. We ran into difficulties by following the directions to the lodge. We called the office and found people to talk to but it was difficult. My husband had a major meltdown. The lodge was perfect for our many relatives. A few suggestions would be: A set of directions to operate the hot tub, we found out later after a maintence call that it was finicky, the handle on the front door kept falling off, the dishwasher would fall out of the insert if you had both trays open, there weren't enough dish towels, the can opener and wine opener didn't work and had to be replaced during our visit, and there weren't enough trash cans. The amount of trash generated by twelve people over a ten day period is a lot. Despite these minor glitches, we enjoyed our stay in the lodge and would rent it again.
