This Chalet is 3 levels. The lower level has 1 bedroom with 2 twin beds, Bath with shower, Laundry room, Large gameroom with a FOOSEBALL TABLE. The 2nd level has a full Kitchen, Dining area, bar, Living room, 1 Bedroom with a King bed. Full Bath with Whirlpool jacuzzi and dbl sinks. Balcony with a beautiful view and Hot Tub. The 3rd level has 2 Bedrooms both have King beds and each bedroom has a full bath. One with a large Jacuzzi tub.IN winter months be aware that we do not have any control over the weather conditions. If snow is on the roadway 4 wheel drives are required. DVD movies can be rented for a small fee from the main office. Also, there are xbox consoles and games available to rent for a small fee.

The cabin was clean and con veniently located to both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. It was easy to get to. The beds were very comfortable. There were a few minor issues with maintenance. The cover on the hot tub was broke and hanging down in the hot tub. It was saturated with water and impossible to lift. We notified the office and they appeared to be unaware of the issue. They offered no help. They said they could do nothing except order a new cover and that would take a couple of weeks to come in. So we could not use the hot tub or entire stay. All of the light bulbs were out except one in the dining room light fixture so maintenance came up the next day and delivered some the next afternoon. One dy we found the window in main floor bedroom unlocked and we didnt do it. Lastly, we came back one evening to find the front door unlocked and a set of keys on the kitchen counter after asking the office we were told that maintenance had come up to check on some things and mst ave forgot to lock up and left the keys. Stayed for 2 days in June, 2012 My girlfriends and I have been meeting in the Smoky Mountains for almost 10 years and this was one of the nicest places we have stayed. It was a great location for us to hold our semi annual gathering. Having 4 bedrooms and 4 baths was very handy. The only two items that I would change. The first is that only 2 baths had showers, the other two had bath tubs, but all of us are shower takers. The other issue was that the sofa did not sit well but everything else was perfect. The beds were comfortable and the cabin was spotless. The parking was plenty big enough for two cars and we could have parked 4 cars if we needed. We had five adults and two children and there was plenty of room for all of us without feeling cramped. It was great to have three king sized beds for all of the adults. My kids loved the playset in the back yard. The house is in a great location that is convenient to both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The views of the mountains from the house are beautiful. The drive up to the cabin was easy. The only problem that we had was with the driveway and that was only because it was raining the first day we were there and the driveway was slick. We would definitely stay at the Edgewood Hideaway again and would recommend it to others as well! View was beautiful & we enjoyed being entertained by mama bear & 3 cubs. A childproof gate for the stairs would be a big factor & stepup for the extremely high bed on the main level for safety. But my what a comfortable mattress once you figured out how to get on the bed. The driveway is much steeper than picture showed...cars had trouble getting up without dragging bumper. Loved the cabin, disappointing service A guest from Dayton, TN does not recommend this property. Stayed for 2 days in August, 2010 I was very happy with the cabin but some disappointments. I read onlinethat another renter did not have ping pong balls or paddles. I called beforeI came and was told they had been replaced and were in the cabin. When wearrived the kids wanted to play ping pong and the adults wanted to get intothe hot tub. Problems with both. We could not get the hot tub hot....thewater was colder than most pools in the area. There were no ping pong ballsnor paddles. I called the office the next morning and she said she wouldget someone right on the hot tub and I had to ask again about the ping pongitems and was told she would have to call me back but more than likely wouldnot be able to get CALL BACK. The guy that came to fix the hottub came and then had to leave to get a new motor for the hot tub. We gotit fixed later that night. I wonder how someone could go up and put chemicals in the hot tub and notnotice it was not hot. How the office could tell a customer that ping pongitems were in the cabin and then when the customer calls they say they willcall back and the customer gets nothing. I would not recommend this cabinto family and friends because of the service I received. The only downside that I could think of mentioning for potential renters is that the master on the 2nd floor and one of the 3rd floor kings both have large tubs, but no shower. The tubs are great, but if you are on the second floor, you have to shower on the first or third floor. If you are in the tub only 3rd floor room, you have to shower in the next room. Understandable if you only have one shower on the third floor for the 2 rooms, but the master on the second floor needs a shower. Other than that, there is not a complaint to be made about amenities, cleanliness, or the management. We loved the grill, the decks, the hot tub, the play set outside, and the location. However, the friendly office staffer assured me that I had nothing to worry about. When I arrived at the office, the girl at the front desk was very helpful as she explained the directions. The rental process was easy and everyone was very friendly and helpful. It would be nice to have a strainer in the kitchen and a dish rag as well as some better heat resistant utensils for cooking in the nonstick pans. The DVD player in the living room was non functional since the cord was missing. Also, the game table was non functional since there was no ball. Since it rained every day except one it was a disappointment not to have those 2 items available for our family of 7 to use. A big concern was having the smoke detector covered in the kitchen hall and the bedroom one missing. I also didn't appreciate the red stain in the tub being hidden from view upon arrival when I was expected to report any major things in 30 minutes of arrival. I also didn't understand why we weren't allowed to use the towels on the racks since they left us no place to hang the ones we used from under the counters and they didn't look any better than the ones we could use. Overall, we were very comfortable and satisfied with our stay here. One of the boys said he felt like he was at home and I had to agree - we were that comfortable with our accommodations. The home was located a little higher that expected but it turned out to be okay as well. The home was beautiful, clean and had a feel of home. There was more than enough space for everyone (family of 7). I would go back and recommend this place to others. The Edgewood Hideaway is very beautiful. We enjoed our stay. We were very pleased with the house itself and the bedroom and bat A guest from Heath Springs, SC recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in June, 2009 However, we were very disappointed that the kitchen and outdoor areas were very poorly appointed. There was only plateware for 4, and only 1 coffee cup to be found. There were no tongs, strainer, spaghetti spoon, etc. The hottub was awesome, but there were no chairs at all to sit in around it if you didn't get in. The only seats on the entire porch were 2 rockers on the front. My parents were there so naturally we gave them the seats. My family and I couldn't sit and visit with them without leaning on the rail or just sitting on the floor. There was no table for when we grilled (awesome grill) so again we leaned on the rail. It's a shame that it's such a nice place, but you almost feel like you're roughing it because the small things were overlooked. This is the fouth time I've rented a house in either Boone, NC or Gatlinburg, TN. This house was one of the nicer ones, but the extras at the others made them more enjoyable.
