The map was hard to read. Took us about an hour to get going the right way.Floors were squeaky and the cabin is, in general ready for some updates. Put the view is worth it all.

Reunion Retreat was perfect

Three brothers and their wives get together every summer to catch up on each other's past year and enjoy each other's company for a few days. Aunt Bugs was the perfect place. The cabin was very comfortable..had everything we needed. The staff was extremely prompt at taking our calls and responding immediately ( we got lost!). There was so much to see and do in the Smokies from wandering Cade's Cove to thoroughly enjoying all the musical shows at Dollywood. I'm sure we'll be back.

The chalet had an order upon arrival but was easily removed with air fresher. The dishes was not very clean. I had to re wash all dishes before use. Also the grill was small and positioned away from the chalet. But overall it was a good place to stay except for these few things.

The view is breath taking. Could not ask for better! The cabin is cozy but outdated. It's definitely had its share of use. Jacuzzi didn't work. The place was a little dirty the bathrooms were probably the worse. If we didn't have the view we had I would say I probably would never book it again.the view was amazing and worth the cabin price it's self. I would have thought the cabin would be more decorated like one with more of a country feel. All in all we had a great time and all that could be overlooked because of the VIEW!

Overall we enjoyed our stay. Nice for the Price.The cabin is somewhat outdated but is in pretty good condition. The view is amazing. The next time we come we will probably stay for more than a weekend.

When we arrived on January 3rd the heat was set on 65 but was like 50 in the cabin. We turned the thermonstat up to 75 to get it warm but that never happen. At 9:00 PM we called the emergency number and told them our cabin was 60 degrees and we were freezing. She said i cant do anything about the heat only if you are having trouble with your water/pipes. We had to sleep everyone upstairs with the oven door open and ran the fire place all night. I was up every hour turning the fire place back on so we could try to stay warm. We were unable to use the basement level at all due to the thermonstat reading 45 degrees down there. We were miserable!!!!!! The next morning I called to tell the office what happen and she called for maintance and the heat was fixed that evening. I would expect a free night at a faciltily when you have no heat and it is ZERO outside. I was never offered a discount or refund for Friday night. So with that being said I will never be back to Aunt Bugs or refer anyone to them. The least you could do is refund one night. Very disappointed!!!!!!!!!!!!

This cabin is in a great spot with a beautiful view, if you don't mind steep and twisty roads. Three beds and three baths, BUT one if the bedrooms is off by itself downstairs and can only be reached by going outside. Would be fine for several couples, but did not work well for a family with kids. The cabin is nicely decorated, but very worn. Bathroom cabinets rotted at the bottom, linoleum peeling up, kitchen floor black with dirt that comes off on your socks. Cookware and utensils are all worn out. Table and silverware are nice. Beds hard and pillows flat. Towels thick and soft and fluffy. This cabin has the potential to be a great place to stay, but it needs some work. We contacted the office about some of this toward the end of our stay and they said there was nothing they could do. That we should have contacted them sooner. They did send out housekeeping, who mopped the kitchen floor again, but told us it was worn out and wouldn't come clean. Also a concern, the policies on their app don't match the paperwork you get when you check in. There are too many other rental companies in the area to take a chance with this one. They could be great, but this experience wasn't. We will look elsewhere next time we stay.

The floor in the kitchen and bathrooms was extremely dirty. Our shoes stuck to the floor. When we wiped it with a paper towel the towel was black. The cleaning crew came by and ask if the cabin was clean and I told them it wasn't, but they claimed they had cleaned it the day before. This alone made our stay not as good as it should have been.

I reserved the cabin online and I felt the post-reservation process was too automated. Given the price of the cabin, a courtesy call 'thanking' the renter for the purchase, asking if they have any questions, and welcoming them would have been a nice touch. I recommend not depending too heavily on automated emails. The cabin wasn't in as good as shape as the photos suggested, although it was still nice. I wish we could have stayed longer!

I had called the morning of our late evening arrival and told them we would be in two cars and could who ever arrived first pick up the keys; I was told that was fine. I had already paid for the cabin and it had cleared my account 2/3 weeks earlier. When my husband arrived with our six month old grandaughter in the vehicle, he was told that since I had used my card off of our joint account he could not be given the code or the paper work because it was confidental information. He called me and I asked if I could email a copy of my id and the card I used. I was told no, even though earlier I had been told it was fine. She then told me if they knew he was going to be getting the information from the lock box they would not put it in there! I was told, and my paper work stated all materials would be put in the lock by 9:00 so he would wait it out, it was not put in until after 10:00. When he got the directions and codes he opened the envelope and went to the cabin, it was the wrong cabin 20 minutes in the opposite direction. After looking again there were 2 envelopes in the same box. I do not understand why they could put my information in a box for a complete stranger to find, but not give it, with my permission, to my husband. The hot tub had sand in it, the sheets in one room was dirty, a nightgown behind the bed and the floors had not been moped. Will not stay again at any of these facilites.

Worst vacation ever.

This was to be a biker friendly cabin. We couldn't hardly get our bikes up the hills. The A/C didn't work right,the hot tub didn't work right, the cabin was dirty, the outside lighting was very minimal. When I called the main office to tell them about everything, they told me I didn't have to stay but there was no refund. I could never recommend this company to any one.

That way when a guest calls any maintenance issues with the property we will send someone out as soon as possible to address any issues that the guest brings to our attention. Arrived in June 2013. We go in and look around and notice lots of bugs crawling and flying around inside. I pull back the bedding and on all 3 beds there was hair on the sheets. I am sure they had not been changed by the previous renters. One of the beds had bugs in between the mattress and box springs. While down in the dirty basement my children try to turn on the TV. the remote does not work.Looked in the shower and there was blood on one of the walls. Another shower had hair in it.I had seen enough. I called Aunt Bugs within 15 mins. of arriving. I talked to the mang. he said there is nothing that he could do except call the cleaning crew and have them bring so clean sheets. We had a very long discussion and this is all he could do.Very, very rude for being a mang. The cleaning crew comes with nothing to clean with and no clean sheets. They go next door and come back and say " here is your clean Sheets". They never came back in to clean which should have been done before we got there. We go and buy cleaning supply's, bleach and laundry det. It was very disgusting. We ended up staying in the upstairs part. The basement was very nasty. It smelled and there were just to many bugs. Nastiest place I have ever stayed in. We could not use the hot tub because it stunk so bad like mildew.I wish I could post pictures, very nasty.

Only complaints I had and this is minor.There was only one ice tray in the fridge and it was almost broken in half. It was cheap plastic. Almost impossible to get the ice out.The celling fan in the living room did not work.Other than those two things it was a great place to stay. The view from the deck is breath taking!

Falling Apart but Great View

The view was the only thing that made the stay worth it. The house was falling apart and had rotting areas on the floor in different parts of the house. The carpet was rippled so it made walking difficult. There was obviously no upkeep on this house and that's a shame as the view was awesome.

I understand dated items but the condition of the property was poor. The toilet paper holder fell off every time, the shower needs to be re-caulked. The floors in general were dirty as were the carpets. It was not advertised that the only way to get to the lower level was to go outside and downstairs, which was a problem with a broken foot to go out in the rain and down the steps plus we felt separated with the rest of the family. The pots and pans were in poor condition and we had to repair of few of them to use them. We have rental properties our selves and like I said we understand dates but not poor repairs and dirty floors and showers. My mother in law was locked in the bedroom to the left on the top floor because the handle to her room was broke (which we called for repairs) The experience overall spending time with my family was nice but just wish it was a little better. My son in law is in the marines and we may not see him for awhile so we hoped this would be great for him. They have stayed with you before but was disappointed this time.

blinds on window need replacing, as well as the flooring and shower door in the bathroom. It might be helpful if you mention in your description of cabin that there is no access from bottom bedrooom, bath, and gameroom to top bedrooms and kitchen. We could not all be together.

I absolutely loved the cabin and location, the problems that I had with my stay though were with the management company. I got everyday about something that I had to sign about either someone did not thoroughly look through the paperwork or they were confused.
