Can't Wait To Return Cynthia S. from Conyers, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in December, 2012 My family and I are regulars to the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg vacation scene. We were looking for a cabin with a wonderful view with easy access to both places and with a "in the mountains" feel. We were not disappointed! We had THE BEST VIEW of the mountains. The pictures I took of my boyfriend & I on the balcony I actually used as Christmas gifts for family. And we could not have been any happier with the interior of the cabin. Perfect combination of rustic appearance with modern comforts. I can tell you with 100% guarantee we will be staying at the Blue Yonder again. Hopefully, very soon. |

Blue Yonder A guest from Leeds, AL does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in October, 2012 This was our third stay at Blue Yonder. We love the property and the location. Unfortunatly the property is not up to the standards it used to be. The kitchen needs stocking, hot tub was slimy and unusable,tv didn't work in BR, towels were few and cheap, trash on exterior. Property will need to be taken care of for us to stay again. |

AMAZING VIEW! Beth M. from Milford, OH recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in October, 2012 Blue Yonder was everything that was promised. The view was spectacular anytime of day. The house was very clean. Great layout for two families. Location was perfect. It was close to the trolley and everything else. There was no blender when we checked in and the management company brought one over quickly. Would have liked to have had a little more tupperware for leftovers. Other than that the stay was perfect. |

view wonderful, Phyllis L. O. from Knoxville, TN recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in September, 2012 disappointed in the furniture, as their was only a hard back chair downstairs, and the bedroom that had the full/queen bed was so hard (like a buck/board), no one could sleep on it. out of 4 of us who stayed, one would think someone would find it comfortable but not so. so we ended up having to bunk together as no one could endure it for beyond one night out of 6 nights at the cabin. so out of three beds we had to make do with two beds. when you spend this kind of money we all felt we over paid for the cabin. and were looking forward to sleeping in our own beds at home. also part of the rap around couch foot part does not work. and would not allow ones feet up , we all love the view. also the outdoor grill had no bucket for the briskets to get rid of. if you have a punch list that the cleaning service does after each vist that should of been caught. batteries for the tv remote needed changing so we went down to the office for more. the little details when you pay high dollar is important when one stays especially when we shell out money for an extended stay.we washed clothes, the dryer had a key to turn the drier on instead of a knob, whether the owner does not give permission to spend money for basic maintence or the rental company just does not pay attention I do not no, the key to turn the dryer on is a poor excuse.having said all the above the 4 of us are disappointed in the price verses quality with the money we shelled out. can't beat the view and that was important and being with our friends a bonus. we just are sorry to spend so much and received not as much as our money put out for a week. next vacation we probally will try another rental company and see if our dollar can be spent better. |

We have a good stay in blue yonder. Overall impression was good. Danielle W. from South Shore, KY recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2012 Stayed the weekend with 3 kids and the in-laws. Pools could have been cleaner and bug spray should be made readily available for guests. Killed at least 5 silverfish which is ver scary when I have a 10 month old who crawled all over the place. Would love to come back to Tn but would Probly look to stay in a different cabin. |

July 2012 Gatlinburg Vacation Larry H. from Emerald Isle, NC recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in July, 2012 I will definitely choose American Mountain Rentals again for our next family vacation to the Smokies, and I will likely choose the Blue Yonder property again. It had the right amenities for us, a reasonable price, a convenient location to the trollies for a mountain cabin, and a magnificent view of the Smokies. |

Don't judge this cabin until you open the front door. A guest from Wabash, IN recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2012 When you open the front door of this cabin, the view facing you will take your breath away. We spent alot of time on the deck watching the clouds drift over the mountains. The scenery never became boring because it continuously changed. The only complaint I can think of is that the carpet on the top level was stained. Everything else was very comfortable. I would not hestitate to rent this cabin again. |

The Test View John D. from Hopewell, VA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in April, 2012 I have spent days trying to find a cabin that has a great view. I passed this cabin by many times on the web because the view of the entrance of the house was not appealing. After failing to find what I was looking for, I took a closer look at this cabin. It had the very one thing I was looking for, a spectacular view. The cabin itself needs some serious updating. The carpet must go! It is old and has many stains. The downstairs hallway light was out, but there was a spare bulb in the closet. I took it upon myself to replace it. The only other maintenance problem was the downstairs Jacuzzi did not work. I called the office and someone was out to fix it within 45 minutes. If you are out to find a cabin with a view of a lifetime, but are willing to put up with an old carpet, this is the place to be. Don?t be fooled by the looks of the entrance. Advice on how to park your car . You can drive and park right next to the front door. It is best to drive past the cabin, turn around and then drive down the other side of the driveway. It is not as steep. |

Loved Blue Yonder! A guest from Pelham, Alabama recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in January, 2012 We (wife, me, and four kids) loved our stay at Blue Yonder in Gatlinburg. The outside picture of Blue Yonder doesn't represent what you are ib store for because when you see the inside you'll be gown away. It is beautiful! The pictures don't do this place justice at all. Thus mountain is practically on top of you and seeing the sun rise over it is spectacular. Even though there are other places around you at Blue Yonder, it still feels like you are in a remote place. We can't wait to visit Gatlinburg and Blue Yonder again! |

BLUE YONDER FROM FIDDLESTICKS Sheilah H. from Irmo, SC does not recommend this property. Stayed for 4 days in November, 2011 We planned this vacation with my 83 year old mother, my 4 month old grandson and our 3 furry babies (dachaunds). We initially booked the Fiddlesticks cabin managed by this company, and the pictures on the website are obviously taken from several year ago and very misleading. This cabin was very old, dated and worn. The access to the cabin is awful also - road turns into gravel goat trail. It was raining and with the leaves that had fallen the road was trecherous. Once we arrived and discovered the conditions at this cabin, the personnel at American Mountain agreed to switch us to Blue Yonder with no additional charges.Initially, we were all overjoyed at the cabin. We were so excited (it was that much better than Fiddlesticks) and the view was superlative. There had been no outside maintenance on the cabin and my son-in-law had to sweep the leaves out of the drive-way so we get drive in and out without slipping and wrecking.Inside was very spacious. There was no heat in the downstairs area at any time we stayed there (very chilly showering and changing clothes), and the heat upstairs seemed inadequate at night after we cut the fireplace off. My 83 year old mother slept in the bedroom upstairs and was uncomfortable every night. The heat was not an issue before bed when we were able to use the gas fireplace. There was a washer and dryer in the unit, but the dryer did not work - we found this out after washing a load of baby clothes and towels). The view was incredible, but was not enough given everything else to make us want to rent this cabin again. We try and come to the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area a couple of times a year, and will not be using this management company again. |

I'd stay here again! Josh N. from Boaz, AL recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in October, 2011 This cabin was great! The view was awesome, and the location was convenient to Pidgeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and the National Park. One of the best things was the trolley stop at the bottom of the hill. We were able to park for free and take the trolley into town. We even saw a bear below the balcony! The only negative things to point out about this cabin is that one of the recliners was broken on the sofa, the knob on the dryer was broken and "rigged" up so it could be used, the balcony deck seemed to be a little unlevel, and the driveway was extremely steep. However, even with these things this cabin was still great. I'd recommend this cabin to my friends and family, and I plan on staying here again next year! |

Fantastic Leslie C. from Hobart, IN recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in October, 2011 No curb appeal but the view more than made up for that. Would be nice to make a few updates on the cabin and a bit more elbow grease on cleaning. But that said...would stay there again in a heart beat. Can't say enough about the view, and our time there. Gatlinburg....we will be back!!! |

8-2011 Iannacone Family at Blue Yonder Leanne L. from Jamison, PA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2011 Great place with lots of space, cable, hot tub, view, pools access good - no major issues.minor: spots on rug by dining room table? But rest of house, kitchen, rooms, bathrooms - spotless!sheets on beds not fitted the best tended to come off especially the two rooms with the view. Maybe more space/dressors for clothes in rooms, especially the smaller downstairs room. Gas Grill would be nice instead of charcoal. But would definitely return - hopefully with more family for a bigger place also with great view and features of this chalet.FYI - some carpenter bees on decks. |

Unhappy stay A guest from Mooresville, NC does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2011 Online description stated an air hockey table in unit-Not So!Notified staff upon arrival @ house, no discount was given. Mgr. refuses to remove "air hockey" from descript. of unit which is a lie & misleading to potential future renters.Needs to be removed from description until air hockey table is placed back in unit.Lost power d/t storm at 5pm. No flashlights or candles available at all for emergency use! Power out for 8 hrs. Should have been made aware at booking that unit was at the top of a mountain. The drive up and down the mountain was very hard on engine/brakes. Had to limit drive in/out to protect breakdown of vehicle.Check in was @ different town from unit & unnecessary trips back to drop of "pool pass" which was never scanned at clubhouse and could have been handled differently to avoid return trips out of town for drop off of pass/deposit.Could have been informed of bear activity in the area. Had 4 bear in back yard one morning--very dangerous especially w/child & pet.Pot w/handle missing & another that was scorched. Nothing decent to cook with i.e. pots/pans. Have used other rental companies in the past with no problem and was very satisfied with stay.Wish I could say the same for American Mtn.Rentals. We paid alot for this rental and was ready to come home early. Very disappointed & will not be using in the future. |

Breath Taking View A guest from Woodstock, Ohio recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in June, 2011 What this place lacks in curb appeal it makes up for when you open the door. I stayed here before, but my family had not. I down played it when we pulled up. The places to the left and right of our front door look lavish and wonderful. Blue Yonder reminds me of a barn. They were shocked and speachless once we got in the front door. Of the many places I've stayed in the mountains this is by far my favorite! |

Incredible view John W. from Evansville, IN recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in October, 2010 We take a week every fall to stay in the Gatlinburg area. This past October was our first time staying in the Blue Yonder chalet. It doesn't look like much from the front so I had a feeling we were going to have to "rough it" for the week. Turns out the cabin was more modern and up to date than any we had stayed in prior. AND THE VIEW!!!!!! The view is by far the best I've had from a cabin/chalet/hotel/condo -whatever- in Gatlinburg ever. I will be returning again next fall and would highly recommend American Mountain Rentals and Blue Yonder to anyone. |

great view A guest from Moke Lumne Hill, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in September, 2010 The view and living quarters were great. It was close to the park and to town. Overall we enjoyed our stay but there were many small things, like light bulbs out, the dryer knob was broken, the tv remote didn't work, loose door knobs, missing door screens, the toilets ran constantly etc that made it seem not well cared for. There were no extra linens so we could not use the extra pillows available. The location was good but the steep driveway was a surprise and not shown in the photos. |

Blue Yonder Cabin Amazing Mountain View A guest from Beaver Dam, WI recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2010 We rented Blue Yonder cabin for a week. The web site does not do the cabin justice! As you walk into the cabin the view almost takes your breath away! The 2 levels of the house with all the glass let you see the view from almost every room. We set on the rocking chairs on the deck every morning and evening. The cabin was extreme spacious and the hot tub on the lower deck was fantastic! A bear cub came right up to the pillar on the lower deck (about 10 below the deck). Great photo op! The 2 master bedrooms were huge and the tubs in each was great too! The kitchen was very large and the open floor plan was perfect! Also a very nice large dining room table. Nice furniture in the great room also. We truly enjoyed the cabin. The Gatlinburg area is filled with fun things to do. Awesome cabin and it helped to make a very enjoyable vacation! |

The view was amazing and the chalet was roomy, well decorated and in good condition. We found out very quickly that the black bears are very active in this area and as a result had multiple viewings of the bears! Not worth the money Trina L. from Pinson, AL does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in December, 2009 I will be sending a detailed explanation along with pictures directly to the property managers.AWESOME view but it comes with a price. Whoever is cleaning this cabin needs to be fired. It appears to be clean if you just walk through, but when you stay 8 days like we did, you have time to take note of all the things that are nasty, broken, and missing. It is obvious that the owner of this cabin doesn't have the money to keep the place up or doesn't care because people keep renting it. However, this stay has made us question the integrity of other American Mountain Rentals' cabins. If they will keep this one on the roll, then I won't chance having another cabin like it. We won't be using AMR again. Too chancy. |

The view was worth every penny!! Stay here. Frances G. from Saint John, IN recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in October, 2009 We loved the cabin - very spacious 2 level perfect for two families. We had 4 adults and two kids. My kids (4 and 7) had a blast with the air hockey table and the jacuzzi. Be careful on the deck - my husband accidently missed the stept out of the jacuzzi, he fell and got about 30-40 splinters in his hands. The beds weren't as comfortable as I would have liked them to be, but everything was clean.Tip - at the bottom of the mountain catch the purple ferry to downtown Gatlinburg for 50 cents each way. It is convenient and much cheaper than paying $8-10 for parking each time we went into town. Overall great experience - I would stay here again. Believe me, you'll the aerial view of the whole landscape of the mountains instead of a cabin facing the side of the mountain or just trees. |

View great but cabin needs work Jackie K. from Suffex, WI does not recommend this property. Stayed for 4 days in October, 2009 The view was great and everything we hoped it would be. However, the cabin had some serious issues. The lower level is very musty. I am asthmatic and couldn?t stand to be in it at all. Maybe a dehumidifier would help. The sheets did not fit on first floor King bed and it had no mattress pad. After 2 nights of sheets popping off (and sleeping half on a bare mattress ? yuck!) we went to the office to get new ones. Those didn?t fit either. Ended up stripping sheets and mattress pad off lower level bed we weren?t using and putting them on main floor bed. The main floor mattress was old and uncomfortable. It didn?t look clean and it had mattress stuffing protruding from a rip. No blanket was provided on bed -- just a heavy comforter that didn?t look very clean and was way too warm to use. We ended up going to Walmart to buy our own blanket. There were large cobwebs in some corners of cabin and very dusty door fronts. Some icky stains on the living room carpeting, too. Overall it was clean enough to live in but it looked like it could use a good cleaning overall. We were pleasantly surprised at the new leather living room furniture and flat screen tv?s. The furniture was very comfortable and we enjoyed the tvs. The deck was awesome and deck furniture was nice. We spent a lot of time out there. Jacuzzi on deck was great. The view and the deck saved this property but I probably wouldn?t stay here again due to the issues mentioned above. I do not think the property was worth $189/night plus tax that we paid. We checked out a night earlier than planned because we couldn't handle the bed another night. |

More than I expected A guest from Sumter, SC recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in October, 2009 The view would have to be the best thing about our stay at Blue Yonder. The cabin itself was more than I expected. It was decorated beautifully and well kept. The jacuzzies were wonderful. We had everything we needed and more. It's the best place we have stayed. We are still talking about the view. |

Blue Yonder Cabin Jon P. from St. Anne, Illinois recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in August, 2009 Overall, the cabin was nice. It would be a plus if there was a new microwave as the one that is there doesn't work very well. The turntable doesn't spin and it takes 12 min to cook 1 potato. We didn't see any bear at the cabin but on the way up Wiley Oakley Dr. we saw 5 bear. On single and then a mom and 4 cubs, really exciting. The view from the cabin is spectacular!!! The hot tub was nice. There was 8 in our party and it was a little tight sleeping, since the cabin is only equipped for 7. We had a blow up bed so it worked out anyway. We had some trouble with the front door lock but that problem was remedied by the office quickly with putting on a new lock. Overall, by all the adults (5) and kids(3) the cabin was terrific and we will come back again if possible. |

Wasted time Tim M. from Cincinnati, OH does not recommend this property. Stayed for 1 days in April, 2009 The websight was deceiving showing a beautiful view, and what seemed to be a true relaxing cabin in the mountains. When we arrived after a four hour drive, we went to bed to get an early start on our three day vacation. When we awoke to a shower with mold and a filthy carpet. On top of that the DVD and TV in the main room did not work, nor did the telephone. We were moved to another cabin but our first day was wasted. |

Not Very Happy A guest from WORTHINGTON, OHIO does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in September, 2008 We arrived to find carpets with stained areas. The downstairs shower had a lot of mold...not good! Some of the bed linens were torn, with holes in areas.None of the beds had box springs! it was like sleeping on a board!! This cabin needed carpets cleaned and shower mold scrubbed....can't understand why they would rent a cabin in this condition. I would NOT recommend this cabin until things are fixed! |

Blue Yonder August 23 - 30, 2008 Thomas H. from Charlotte, NC recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2008 Property is in fine condition, furnishings are beginning to show age. Rug needs cleaning. View spectacular. Porch comfortable, but lacked one chair to set porch table for 4. TV channel selection fine. Enjoyed watching US Open tennis matches. Kitchen equipment and appliances fine, but crockery and silverware severely limited. Was not able to serve more than one meal without running dishwasher, shortage of spoons, and dinner/lunch glassware. Upholstered furniture clean and serviceable. Had some electrical/lightbulb problems on checkin. Maintenance responded promptly and effectively. No other calls necessary. Couple of bulbs out on multi-bulb fixtures, but no big deal. Outlets behind master bed need covers replaced. Clothes dryer worked fine, but seemed to blow a lot of lint out of vent at side of house in spite of intact and functioning lint filter on dryer. Might be worth a cleaning out to avoid a lint fire or clog in the future. Laundry facilities otherwise satisfactory.Saw deer on walks, and a bear visited backyard long enough for pictures to prove it to the grandchildren! Used the pool privelege twice. Gatlinburg near enough to visit, but far enough that traffic noise is rarely heard. I believe that Internet access as a part of the rental facility will become increasingly important in the future. We traveled twice to Pigeon Forge public library to use computers and their free wireless. Perhaps a mention of this in the American Mountain Rentals registration materials? While the A/C worked well, we found that the upstairs was either uncomfortably hot or the downstairs uncomfortably cold. Our solution was to place the fan on "ON" instead of "AUTO" which more effectively equilized the temperatures.Appreciated the AARP discount. This will help rentals in the off season when us older folks tend to travel.Tom Holmes |

Stayed for 7 days in August, 2008 The location was excellent, main issues related to condition of property. There was some funiture that was not in good condition (i.e. coffee table with broken leg just stuck under table). There was a hole in one of the doors, hole in carpet. Also several electrical outlets did not work including all of the outlets in both bathrooms. The set up of the house was great, lot of room, great view. Just needs some work on the inside. Also re: cleaning, overall was pretty clean but behind furniture and in not generally used space was not clean. Overall, we really enjoyed our vacation. |

Wonderful View of Mountains, but needs work... A guest from Battle Creek, MI does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2008 The view is outstanding. Property is spacious, but not well-maintained. We found it to be dark inside (MANY light bulbs were burned out throughout the house). Property management offered to correct this once we were in the unit and reported it, but this is basic and should have been rectified before anyone stepped foot in the place. Cobwebs throughout. No mattress pad on lower level king and found it to be less than ideal. Lower level shower was in desperate need of maintenance (moldy & rotten wood). Carpets were dirty and spotted. Would have liked to have at least a vacuum available to tidy up during the week. Overall, basic needs were met and we enjoyed the deck, view, and sites in Gatlinburg, but found the interior lacking. |

Stayed for 5 days in June, 2008 Wonderful location, beautiful house, but it felt like the owners (and managers) have lost interest. The kitchen is under-equipped (bare minimum of plates, bowls, most utensils had to be rewashed before using, 12 sets of salt-peppers, but no plastic wrap or spare plastic trash bag, one of four burners on stove didn't work. No instructions for a complicated TV, VCR, DVD setup. Downstairs shower badly in need of renovation. All these are little things, but the place itself is so beautiful, it takes the edge off. |
