It was well equipped with starter items (toilet paper, soap, etc.) and anything you need was available. Unless you go just for the cabin, there is so much to do at the cabin and in town that it was hard to get it all in just 3 days. The bed was comfortable, the AV and TVs all worked great and the DVD/3D movies were a nice surprise! Great linens and bathroom towels too. Small issue with lady bugs which we didn't mind at all. However, behind the bed and dresser it was very dusty and some critters had died and weren't cleaned up. No instruction how to use the jets in the garden tub. The jets in the shower did not seem to work either and this was a primary reason I chose this specific cabin. Notes referenced trash needed to be removed, but we did not see any instruction on where we needed to take it. The cabin was ready early which was a plus, furniture both interior and exterior was very nice. You won't be disappointed. From the wine cooler to the chilled beer glasses waiting in the freezer, to the 3D glasses and DVD player, to the amazing rain shower with side spraying heads, this cabin delivered what it advertised...and more. Clean, quiet,and comfortable, it was difficult to leave in the morning but the hot tub and other amenities made it oh so easy to come home to after a day of hiking. The reservation and check-out processes were flawless. We especially liked the ability to drive directly to the cabin after receiving the phone call telling us our cabin was 11:30 am! Definitely a bonus. Without a doubt, this was the best rental experience of my life. Elk Springs has done their homework when it comes to customer service and it shows. The cabin was very clean and had all the amenities we expected. Amazing shower in the lower level!The 55" high-def TV's are awesome. We have stayed several places and this is one of the best. Only downside is location being as far out of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge/Sevierville area as it is,however, we knew that going in so in all fairness that isn't really a negative if you're looking for a truly quiet getaway. Speaking of quiet, the only other small complaint would be the furnace is rather noisy being right in the closet located in the master bedroom.(Maybe something to keep in mind for future design/construction).The cabin was built in 2010 so a new cabin is always nice. Hopefully the standards will be maintained as time goes by. At this time I would highly recommend this resort and cabin to anyone. Housekeeping confirmed they do NOT launder these items between guest, but admitted they should have checked. The spots were numerous and obvious.The propane tank for the grill was left empty, another oversight? Jacuzzi tub had pubic hairs in it, and towels smelled of urine. Horrible experience. After first complaint, Marty apologized and offered a 10% discount, after the next complaint: she stopped returning my emails and calls.We are insulted that bodily fluids equals 10%. Seriously? But disappointed in the customer service we have received since complaining. We paid for elegance, but got Motel 8 quality. The owner was very helpful in giving ideas of things to do and where things were located. If you are not used to driving in hilly areas the driveway can be kind of scary, but the owner let us park at the top of the hill, so still no complaints here. After realizing we were given the wrong code it took almost an hour to reach a person to get the correct code and no one ever apologized for our inconvenience! No Privacy Michael S. from Cleves, OH recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in December, 2010 The property was very nice inside, with great appliances and furniture. Several loose items in refs to the plumbing, one handle actually fell off in the shower. The biggest disappointment for me, was the lack of privacy on the deck. This was a cabin for just couples and you couldn't even get out on the deck without looking right at the 3 cabins in front of you. I've stayed at numberous cabins in Gatlinburg and this was the least private, not a good design for a couple cabin. I will have to say that this is one that has been well thought out and is VERY organized from checkin to pure enjoyement! Everything one could want was there and labeled! Mountain Elegence A guest from Reelsville, Indiana recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in November, 2010 We were the 5th or 6th rental on this cabin as it is brand new. It was gorgeous and decorated so is close to 2 other cabins but we never even heard vehicle traffic. It is a little drive from Gatlinburg, but not a difficult drive. Once you find it the first time it is a breeze after that. We did get the wrong check-in code and it took about an hour for them to call us back, but after that it was smooth sailing. We even just spent a day in the cabin relaxing it was so comfortable. We would highly recommend this cabin for a great stay for a couple.
