It has a great view, and all the kitchen things you need (we cooked there every night ). The only down fall is the mattress on the pull out couch. I could not let my kids sleep on them, too many springs. They just need better mattress on them. We had to get a blow up mattress. Oh, and if you want a real horse back riding place check out Douglas Lakeview riding stables in Sevierville. We had a great time there. The other places are nice, just boring! The bed is broken in the middle and DESPERATELY needs to be repaired or replaced. I ended up sleeping on one of the pullouts with my daughter and let my husband have the bed so neither one of us would have to worry about rolling toward the middle because of the broken bed. Overpriced for sleeping on a pullout sofa! Would have been better sleep at a hotel. I was glad we were only there for 2 nights but will stay again for a longer time once the bed is fixed. The downstairs was clean but the upstairs and deck needed a good scrubbing. The water was not hot enough when we arrived, but called the next morning and someone came over right away to fix. We were close to Gatlinburg, pigeon forge, and the smoky mt laurel falls trail! Pretty good view of mountains from back deck, satellite tv so the picture and volume cut in and out the whole time, several spiders in the bathtub, poor lighting in the whole cabin especially in the bathroom shower, cabin is older and not as clean as the newer ones that are available out there. Stayed for 3 days in June, 2011 We arrived and loved the location!!! we noticed that everything looked good and went to flush toliet and it would not flush. Took shower and water would not drain and there were bugs in tub. sink was not clean and very dusty ceiling fans. By this time I was questioning the cleanliness of the hot tub and did not get in. This rental needs attention and I did not report the tub/toliet due to us finding out about it after the 2 hour cut off time to report anything that needs attention to the office which was explained on our paper. The pool table was way too big for the upstairs room and we kept hitting our heads on the ceiling and I am only 5'4" tall. Skillets were teflon skillets with peeling and scratched telfon coming off so we did not make pancakes as planned we avoided these due to health warnings of using teflon that has been damaged. I suggest Iron skillets. Over all I would not stay at this cabin again. Rental was not up to par and it did need attention. We had to call about the dirty grill utensils. Also, the Internet ad said there was a gas grill (which was one of the reasons we chose this cabin over others) but there was only a very old and run down charcoal grill. We also called about the poor condition of the hot tub. It was dingy and needed clorine treatment. Instead of cleaning the hot tub, it was drained completely which meant we were unable to use it for a day. It was our honeymoon and the hot tub was one of the draws for selecting this cabin. When we spoke with the manager, he was neither apologetic bor helpful. He got rather beligerent with me and was unwilling to do anything to compensate us for the poor condition of the amenities. The manager's people skills needs a major overhaul. I would not recommend your rental agency to anyone else. I would also recommend that the owner hire another agency to manage their property. The driveway was very steep and I didn't feel safe on it. I thought the bed was uncomfortable. The hot tub looked clean, but the surfaces were a little slimy. The ammenities were great! the only thing i hated was the drive way. The first day we got there we went on down, but it was a nightmare to get out and i didnt feel comfortable so i parked on the side. (this is after we read about a couple who backed down the drive way and went down the embankment in the guest book) However a man living above us wasnt happy with me parking on the side of the road (which was out of his way) and rudely recommended i get over it and park in the drive-way. my wife finally convinced him to let us stay on the side of the road, but he would honk if we were in his way. it put a damper on the whole trip. Also we had problems with the toilet overflowing. But other than that we liked the place. The upstairs windows were very dirty and someone previous to us had written on the windows, Clean me! There were mice droppings on the bottom of the steps going upstairs; the deck was so wobbly that we were afraid to get in the hot tub. The hand rails on the deck could be moved just by touching them. I don't see how the deck keeps from falling with the weight of the hot tub and no more support than it has underneath. WE PREFERRED GATLINBURG BECAUSE OF IT'S SIMPLE CHARM AND CREATIVE PEOPLE. PIGEON FORGE WAS MORE COMMERCIAL AND TOURIST GALORE. THE CABIN HAD EVERYTHING WE NEEDED, EXCEPT FOR DISH DETERGENT ! WE WASHED OUR CLOTHES,ATE IN, AND ENJOYED SATELLITE T.V. THERE WERE 3 T.V.'S AND V.C.R . THE JACUZZI WAS WARM AND RELAXING. WE WILL RETURN NEXT SPRING. IN THE WINTER THE DRIVEWAY AND ROAD INTO THE CABIN WOULD BE BAD TO DRIVE. A FOUR-WHEEL DRIVE WOULD BE NECESSARY. OUR ONLY TWO COMPLAINTS ARE THAT THE PLACE COULD HAVE BEEN CLEANER. THERE WERE OLD COFFEE GROUNDS ON THE FLOOR AND WALL BY THE TRASH CAN ( WE DIDN'T DRINK COFFEE ) AND COB WEBS ON THE SWAG WHICH HUND OVER THE BED. OLD FOOD IN THE SINK STRAINER (BOTH SIDES) ,COB WEBS IN THE FAR CORNERS OF THE SHOWER,TONS FOF DUST ON THE FIREPLACE MANTLE, AND DUST OUTLINING THE FLOORS.
