The only criticisms we have is that the place never seemed to be able to cool down adequately and so sleeping was not as comfortable as we had hoped. Perhaps this is due to the radiant heat in the flooring? Also, the edge of the carpet between the kitchen/hallway and the living room was getting pretty thin due to foot traffic and this exposed the tack strip. We noticed this because our two year old tripped and cut his hand on the tack strip. Besides this, it was a great stay and would consider staying there again in the future. What a relief from a hotel experience! Room to play, ability to cook, grill even! Very comfortable home away from home. The loft upstairs is set up very nicely. We did recommend that an extension cord be bought to be able to bring the fan over to a window, as it was hard to cool down the loft. The owners had thought of everything - extra blankets, pillows, fan, box of movies, books, and games. Stayed for 5 days in December, 2011 This was the 4th year I have stayed at Tarn Landing and my only complaint is ... there are 2 community hot tubs and not one year in the four have they both been up and running during the week we rent. This year one was closed as usual and the other one was almost always full when we would go down. Very disappointing if you just came in from skiing and would like to jump in and relax before going to dinner. I am dissatified with that one aspect. A very nice addition to this unit would be a larger flat panel television in the living and both bedrooms althought work perfectly - they are now considered antiques!
